You can’t beat this spot’s Happy Hour! $5 draft beers - every beer they have on tap is included. And they have a wide selection! The bartender I had was awesome, and she was very nice!
The place was a madhouse, but it was pre-concert. There are 3 levels with a bar and plenty of table seatings on the upper levels. The servers were as busy as any could be and I still think they did great. The pizza is excellent - very fresh and many fancy ingredients to choose from. They also have pastas and many other choices. Looking around at other people’s dishes - everything looked good.
Pizza was awesome. Deaja was very courteous and efficient. Hard to argue with the prices. I'm in guys.
I stopped by on a Thursday evening, and there was not nearly enough people in here for as good as it is.
The food/drink is right: 12 beers on draft, full bar, 3 floors, and brick oven pizza. This visit I had :Hazy Little Thing (x2) and a spicy salami/honey pizza. All good. Pizza is about 12in round
The vibe is right: Old and cozy, 5 TVs hanging on the brick walls, and dope music pumping through a nice sounding stereo system.
The service is right: fast, professional, not too pricey? what more could you ask for?
Conclusion: I will come back; definitely check this place out.
This place is soooo good. We passed by it our first evening in town while trying to find a quick place to grab a bite to eat. We saw they had Happy Hour specials, but we didn't have time for a sit down meal, so I saved it to return to. We returned the next day for Happy Hour and got the Margherita Pizza and Spicy Honey Wings. I'm not a fan of margherita pizza, but that one was delicious. And the wings were easily Top 3 we've ever had. With the Happy Hour specials being just $10/each, it turned out to be one of the cheapest meals we had. We did order a mango margarita (I think) that first meal and my husband actually said it was too strong. So I can promise the drinks are not watered down here lol. We liked Bulldog so much that we decided to come back a 2nd time. We didn't think the food could get any better, but man, it tasted even better the 2nd time around. The wings were cooked perfectly with lots of sauce. And these aren't skimpy wings, they're large and meaty. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We've already told others to give this place a try since it's new. Next time we visit D.C., it will definitely be on our to-do list.
