I’m picky about Church.
I want one that gives me a Good “God connection” - a church with a welcoming, friendly, congregational feel, a family focused mission, a church that, at the end of a service, I will walk out of that sanctuary feeling sanctified, inspired.
That is what one gets when they walk into “IRCUMC.
There are a lot of good things happening here:
Pastor Bill’s sermons consistently “Rock” with very clear and relevant messages.
Community Involvement and Family Focus are alive and well here.
Most importantly, the environment here provides the perfect spiritual nest to keep our focus on what is most important.
I was there today. My cousin became a member! Everyone was very friendly and accepting. Pastor Bill Coristan was great and delivered a cohesive message on "Detours". Sounds crazy but it was really quite appropriate. The sanctuary itself is gorgeous with stained glass next to the altar. And the choir! So wonderful with the old time hymns. I went to the 8 a.m. service. There's another similar service at 9:30 a.m. There are also contemporary services on Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.
