For a little state park it has everything except camping. 2 restrooms at first parking lot nearest entrance were clean pit toilets, had toiletpaper, no hand sanitizer. More restrooms throughout the park but I didn't go in them. A small clean beach for swimming, a 1 mile hiking trail, picnic tables, large covered shelter for big family reunions, plenty of parking and a few small playgrounds. Didnt inspect the equipment since no children with me.
2 cars in parking lot but didn't see anyone while I was exploring the park. This is a nice little park for the family.
Good photo opportunities of wildlife as well as scenery. All seasonal fishing opportunities as well.
Small lake, not very deep 6-7 feet max, no gas motors, one single launch boat ramp. It does have several different parking lots, and private residents border the lake as well so walking to parts of the lake isn't possible. It does have a small beach and playground area.
I've been going to Madison Lake since I was little. I bring my daughter here now. I expect I will be going here in many years from now also. It's beautiful. There's so much to do. Fire pits, grills, pick nick tables, hiking paths, and my favorite, fishing.
I love this place, generally speaking. Its quiet, there is a beach, a half basketball court and the lake is just beautiful! The only problem is the excessive bugs and algea that seem to be a never ending problem! Otherwise no complaints!
