  10 minute stroll through beautiful nature. Shaded. Sidewalk/boardwalk nature path.

  Quiet place to unwind before/during/after work. The bird watching is phenom! I spotted ospreys and red shouldered hawks here!

  This is a great little park in the northern part of Coconut Creek. At only 13 acres it is one of Broward County's smallest parks and it is dedicated to Helen Klein, a local environmental activist who died in 2001. The parking lot is very small, maybe 6 cars at most and the area is surrounded by a church, houses, and a shopping center. The city decided to preserve this last bit of unspoiled land in 2002.
  
  At the end of the parking lot is a picnic pavilion. The park consists of mainly paved pathways and a small portion is an elevated boardwalk. Along the path are some benches to rest on. Although the walk is short it is extremely pleasant in the shade of the overhead trees. On the day I visited I only spotted a butterfly but up to 55 species of wildlife have been noted in the preserve.
  
  It is so nice that Coconut creek decided to preserve this area. Even though I could hear the cars on the road outside the preserve it still felt like I was a world away from the development that looms just outside the preserve. I am always looking for a place to get some fresh air and exercise and this is a lovely spot.
