Life Care Center at Inverrary

Life Care Centers of America Inverarry location has truly gave me a second chance with my father. Approximately 9 weeks ago my father went downhill tremendously was admitted to a local hospital. Holding on to hope for 6 weeks and still no improvement and the hospital asking us to make a decision for a long term facility and pressuring us to sign a DNR that there was no hope. We had no visitation during that time at the hospital. I went to sign the DNR at the hospital at that time I cried and prayed. My father grabbed my hand. I wasn’t sure if it was reflex or GOD telling me we are gonna continue the fight. I left the hospital and called Eddie at admissions. I knew about the facility because, I work at the neighboring location. I explained to him the situation and he took the wheel from there. When my dad was brought to the facility he was basically in a vegetable state. Because of Cassie, Denise, Sharon, and their amazing staff my father is able to walk, talk, dance, and eat on his own again. My father was only at the facility for about 23 days and returned home to us. I will like to thank each and every staff member especially Cody, Eddie, Sharon, Denise, Cassie, Cecile, and all of the nurses and therapist from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t of done it with out you all. You all were there for my family every step of the way. Wendy, in the business office thanks for all your help. Ms. Laura your have been awesome thanks for all you do as well.

My experience was excellent I enjoyed the people who care for me at Life Care. I want to give a shout out to my speech therapist Denise. I came in after my stroke and I was not speaking. I am now speaking. I also want to thank my therapist Ame & Ilsey they both worked with me and now I’m able to transfer safely and stand to go back home. Thank you Cecile. She was the best for helping me get my hospital bed and supplies at home. Thank you to everyone at Life Care. I highly recommend this rehabilitation facility.

My name is Amelia and I have been a resident at Life Care Center at Inverrary for about 2.5 years and I have enjoyed the care from the staff that works here. I initially came here for therapy after a hospital visit. The staff working in the Therapy Department were able to turn my attitude around. They helped me walk again through the use of constant encouragement. I partake in therapy every time that I am eligible. The goal is for me to go home and I am hopeful that the staff here can help me achieve that.

The food, quality of care, and customer service have been wonderful. Though not everything is perfect 100% of the time, the staff ensures that the situation in question is always rectified. We have our wonderful Activities Director and staff (e.g., Julie, Carole, Ina, and Yolanda) that have kept us entertained and happy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Julie, in particular, always makes sure we are in a good mood. She takes personal responsibility in our happiness. The activities that they have for us are wonderful. We have been able to do bowling, dunking the staff with water, and other fun activities. We are hoping that the Activities Department continues to be creative in allowing us to partake in activities. They always make sure everything is clean and safe for those of us residing in the building.

My father was placed at this facility after he suffered a hip fracture during the height of the Covid lockdown in May 2020. .He is was 96.

I had my doubts about the care he was receiving at the beginning and it was hard to communicate with any of the staff. However, since Cody, the new Director, took charge, there has been a significant improvement in communication, organization, and overall management of the facility. All the nurses now have cordless phones, eliminating the need for endless unanswered phone calls and missed messages back and forth.

In the past, my father has been bounced around from facility to facility. This facility, however, has proven to be the best so far. My father is always clean, and well taken care of. The patient-to-staff ratio is conducive to a high level of one on one care. The staff is always very professional and helpful and comes across as an extended family that cares for our loved ones in the same way we would ourselves. The Activities Director and staff are very creative in keep the residents active and engaged during these challenging time.

If your anxiety levels are high regarding where to place your loved ones, Life Care Center will definitely relieve you of those concerns. Highly recommended.
