I highly recommend Dr. Payton and his staff. I have a condition that causes me to have extremely long and curved roots, as well as, my blood pressure to drop very low. After being passed around between my dentist of 30 years, an endodontist and 2 other surgeons for 9 months with a throbbing toothache who couldn't decide what to do and had no problem charging me multiple copayments and putting me on multiple rounds of antibiotics, I was finally referred to Dr. Payton. The other surgeons insisted that I have my tooth extracted under anesthesia due to it being a complex extraction and that it be done in the hospital, which would have cost me thousands of dollars more and I would have had to gone under general anesthesia. When I saw Dr. Payton, he took the time to review and discuss my medical history, which is extensive, and he agreed to give me deep nerve blocks and try to do the extractions in the office with the agreement that if needed, he would stop and finish the job in the hospital without charging me any more money on his end. Dr. Payton was so gentle and compassionate. He explained everything that he was going to do throughout the procedure so that I wouldn't stress, and it was a long procedure. I am a nurse of many years and have worked in the OR in the past, so I could appreciate his excellent surgical techniques and bedside mannet. My post op pain and swelling was minimal and I healed quickly. I needed 2 implants and they took nicely. The quality of the implant that the surgeon uses is very important for longevity of the tooth and his prices are competitive. The staff was also amazing. They were always pleasant and the entire process of scheduling my appointments, checking in, being set up in the room and checking out was always very smooth and timely. Dr. Payton exemplifies what a doctor should be. I only wish more doctors were like him in this day and age!

My 80 year mom saw Dr. Payton on an emergency basis which is always last minute. Her jaw was swollen and her gums were sore. He and his staff were very accommodating and professional. He was quick and efficient and they all handled her with great care and compassion. She didn't experience any pain and by the time we got home the bleeding had stopped. She had two more extractions without incident. They were all extremely pleasant and friendly. I would recommend him to all in need of an oral surgeon with skill, a great personality and wonderful staff.
Dr. Payton did my wisdom teeth surgery and I am very happy with the results. He was available to see me whenever I needed an appointment, answered all of my questions, and was kind and compassionate. Everyone in the Pembroke Pines office was friendly and helpful, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
