“Recently discovered Tri-Rail as a mean of transportation to reach Miami Dade and Palm Beach counties. Plenty of parking spaces to park-and-ride, however no overnight parking according to attendant. If using tri-rail to go south to Miami, keep in mind that ticket issued will not transfer to Metro-Rail (Miami Dade train system) In that case, you must purchase a new ticket at the metro-rail transfer station in order to ride Metro-Rail. The Ft Laudedale station (as most of the stations) has an automated ticketing machine (average cost of a one way ticket is $5)these kiosks offer transfer to bus for an additional small fee. If you have questions, there is an attendant inside the Amtrak waiting area (Tri-rail and Amtrak share the same plataform)and they are very helpful. Additionally, it is important to distinguish this station from Fort Laudedale Airport Station: this is NOT your stop for the Airport.”

“Nice spot to park and head over to the beach. Right off the road but bike lane gives you space to open driver side door. You will see a lot of overflying aircraft.”
