  Two days ago, I was walking my dog at the park. We were swarmed and attacked continuously by wasps for several minutes. Thankfully, another person at the park called 911. My dog is only around 20 lbs. He wasn't having an allergic reaction to the venom, but it was overwhelming his system and he went into shock.
  
  First responders and EMTs arrived quickly. One of the firefighters grabbed my dog and brought him to this animal hospital, which happens to be the veterinarian he uses for his own dogs. I stayed behind and was treated by the EMTs.
  
  I am so thankful to the firefighter that reacted so quickly to get Jack in for emergency care. I think his quick actions helped save my dog.
  
  Now, this very office was so helpful and took such great care of Jack. My dog is special needs, but they aren't his normal vet, so they didn't know exactly what ask he deals with. He was actually blind when he got to their office. I'm guessing from being in shock or maybe the amount of venom from so many stings caused it. He also was holding up one of his legs. They flushed his system with IV fluids for several hours, gave him pain medication, Benadryl, and steroids to help his little body deal with the massive amount of stings and venom. They x-rayed his leg to make sure there wasn't something going on that needed additional treatment. They meticulously pulled out stingers.
  
  I arrived a little while after to check on him. They brought him out to me so I could see and touch him. He was already starting to improve. *I didn't go to the people ER because I'm not allergic to wasp venom and my vitals were ok, plus I was extremely worried about my dog. Seeing him, and meeting the people taking care of him, put my mind at ease. I was told he would likely have to stay overnight and continue to have IV fluids etc.
  I went back later in the day to check on Jack. Again, they let me see him with my own eyes. He was improving faster than they expected and I was going to get to take him home the same day! I just needed to allow him time for more meds/fluids. I went back to pick him up before they closed.
  
  They saved my Jack. They were so kind and caring and helpful. They did what they could to put my mind at ease and gave Jack excellent care. I might have to switch to this vet office after this experience.
  Thanks to the whole staff for taking care of my boy.

  I've owned a few cats over the years at different cities I've lived in Florida. Scott Mill Animal Hospital was highly recommended to me by a friend when I moved to the Mandarin area in 2013. I've never loved a vet office more. They are super compassionate and understanding of pet parent worries and concerns. Very personable and friendly staff; they actually smile! Dr. Moore is just a really cool guy who makes you feel comfortable. He's highly professional and knowledgeable. It helps that (for the first time ever) I have the sweetest and most tolerable kitty at the vet. Last but not least, their rates are very reasonable and affordable. I've now come to learn that I've been spending hundreds of dollars more for lesser quality care for years. I won't hesitate to bring my furbaby to the vet when I know I won't have to borrow money from my 401K! And that means she'll never miss out on any medical care

  Caring vet and staff, won't take advantage of you and sensible in approach to animal health care.

  I would recommend this place over and over! Today was my first visit with my two boxers. They were 100% professional, helpful and informative. They actually referred me to a dermatologist because my dogs’ skin condition seems a little more severe than normal - so I appreciated the honesty from the Doctor at Scott Mill and we will definitely be using them as our primary vet in the future!

  Scott Mill Animal hospital is an amazing and wonderful place to bring your pet! The doctors and staff truly care about the well being of your pet and to provide the best treatment possible. They do not try to charge you for services you do not need and go above and beyond to provide the best care possible. They were sensitive, kind, and full of compassion. I would recommend this place to everyone with a pet!
