I've wanted to eat here for awhile, and for my first experience it didn't disappoint. My server was great and looked after our every need. I had the blackened tuna. Awesome dish. The conch fritters were excellent and HOT! The atmosphere is right on. I sat on a wooden bench and I was so happy about the experience it never crossed my mind till later. NBFC lived up to the hype. I'll be back.
Had lunch with the hubby. Happy they had outdoor seating wrapping the circumference of the actual restaurant. We dined outdoors. Had a dozen oysters for an appetizer. They were delish! Price says MP. We paid $20.00 per dozen.
I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini from the bar. It was perfect! Cost was steep, $20.00 each! Even at my 5 star hotels, it's a little less.
We ordered the fried seafood. You can select three. I had fish, shrimp, and scallops. Fish was cut into bite sized pieces. Meal came with fries, hush puppies, and Cole slaw, but I ordered the collards instead. They were fresh and tasty.
Food was fried to a golden brown and everything was fresh, lightly seasoned, and lightly battered. Portion wasn't huge, but totally filling! Cost was $22.00.
Overall, we had a pleasant visit. Even on a colder day with the breeze from the nearby ocean, the heaters above provided warmth.
Worth it!
This place should have been five stars. I don’t understand how this place did not get a perfect score. Ahi tuna was excellent. I had the rock shrimp with the bang bang sauce with two sides. The collard greens were the best I ever had and the butter beans were fantastic. That sincerely was the best hush puppy I ever had. My wife had the grilled cod which was a special that was the best prepared cod I’ve ever had it was so moist and cooked to perfection. We’re definitely would come back.
Delectable seafood made in a short amount of time and the staff are mostly accommodating: it’s sincere service with a smile. This is the first seafood diner where I had a po-boy sandwich and it had a rich, creamy taste. The chocolate torte cake tasted extremely sweet! Highly recommend when you are hungry at Neptune Beach and not sure what to eat. Also, it’s best when you eat outside the restaurant, because the inside is cold.
I had a lovely dinner here. The service was fast and efficient despite the fact that the place was busy. Both the salad and the entrée were outstanding. The desert was extremely affordable but I think it was made by a factory and not in the house but it was still delicious anyway. I’ll definitely go back
