“Small little restaurant, very very busy. A lot of takeout. The waitress was very knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the ribs very good and tender, the black-eyed peas had tenderness to him and very juicy. Nothing was dry. I had lima beans, the pulled pork really good. The only thing I thought the sausage was a teeny bit salty. Just my opinion. Other than that it was phenomenal. Very very happy meal. Glad we stopped here. 👍🏾💪🏾🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️”

“Pepper steak came out hot and faster than McDonald's drive thru. I ate all of it, which is good. Disappointed no cans of soda, the only canned drinks in cooler are for employees. Not sure egg rolls should be at bottom of drinks cooler uncovered. Bathroom out of service, lobby was grimey and uninviting . Not a fan of $7.5o lunch combo no drink no egg roll.”

“I come to this location regularly, I always get the Turkey and sausage platter with Mac N Cheese and Corn Nuggets. And I must point out that I only get a 30 minute lunch break and I am always in and out in just under 25 minutes, and the service is still 5 star quality and they serve up good quality food. If you are looking for great food and service and you only have very little time for lunch, I strongly recommend that you vidit this Bono's Location, they will not let you down. I have never had a single problem and will be back soon.”

“Came right at lunch. Took a minute to get seated and waited on but it was worth it. Has a charming rustic seafarer look. I had ordered the fried oyster Po boy. Came about 6 to 10 minutes after ordering. But instead of fried oysters it was fried shrimp. The place was very busy and she may have been distracted when she put the order in so I didn't complain, I ate the shrimp po' boy and I have no complaints the food was delicious. I would definitely go again.”

I will keep coming back to this place when I can. They also have a pool table to enjoy your night while also having a few beers. Will recommend this place to anyone wanting to try real Cuban food with great flavor.”

“Picked up our order to go. We ordered fun snack foods. It's been so long since I've had a cheese stick or fried pickle chips let alone vegan ones! We also had the chickn strips. The food was so tasty, their batter's were so flavorful and crunchy. Everything was great and we will be back to try more deliciousness!”

“Our waitress Catherine’s extremely nice! She’s a true example of southern hospitality!! Here, I ordered the chicken pot pie as a brunch (and orange juice as a drink). The pancakes that my aunt shared with me were really buttery and delicious! Catherine would stop by every 10 minutes to make sure that we were having an excellent dining experience and absolutely nobody at my table was disappointed with anything at all. The chicken pot pie was made with plenty of love and was so creamy! If you happen to be in Jax’s Mandarin district and are looking for an excellent diner, eat at Metro Diner! The best part? You can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner any time of day!”

“We ordered beach snacks (cheese curds and mini franks) a few days earlier and both were delicious so we decided to have dinner here also. The Rocky Balboa burger was so big and beautiful! 😁 Hubby ate every bit of it. He says it was cooked just well without being overcooked. My beer battered fried shrimp were best I've had post covid! They were fresh and seasoned to perfection. Heck, even the fries and mocktail were delicious. The bar itself was larger than expected with lots of seating. Staff were friendly. Great experience!”

“We went here for the first time as a couple to have dinner. We both been here before but seperatly. I came for the wings and she came for the mozz sticks and hot sauce. I tried a few different wing sauces and I like Cajun Hot with a side of TKO. I do think the TKO I got was more hot sauce as I been to the Chubbys out in Flemming and their TKO was a little thicker and darker and spicier. Out food was good. There were some wings that could have been cooked a bit more. And as far as nachos go, maybe try and have a veggie protein to go with it like veg baked beans. We did ask for raw jalapenos, and she said she has them. When we got them, it was pickled. If we knew that was what was available we would have skipped on the nachos. So all in all a few minor hickups. We will still be back.”

“Sangría was really good, with a smooth taste of mango at the end, delicious. The chips with ranch were really good as well. The steaks were flavorful and cooked as we asked (medium), it was delightful. The kale salad was really good too and a great side to the steak and fries. Our server was so nice and knowledgeable, he even offer recommendations, we are definitely coming back to this restaurant.”

“Great coffee, great seating as well. I love to sit outside and enjoy the weather, wind, chat and coffee. This has become "our place" with my friends. The brewed coffee is smooth, they offer plant based milk options and I enjoyed the avocado/tomato toast. It was a bit heavy on the red onion for me, but honestly, one teaspoon of dices for me can be a bit much and it was simple to shoo them off my toast without ruining it. If you're staying at the beach, this place should be on your breakfast list before you enjoy thr beaches.”

“I am from outta town, I travel for work so I am always looking for good mom n pop style restaurants. I found this place on google and looked at their menu and saw sooo many yummy things! 😮Then while looking at their pictures of the yummy food, I came across a picture of the building burned 🔥 😔 I called to see if this was an old picture and hoped they had reopened since. A very nice lady named Tammy answered "Juniors food truck".. I was shocked. Figured I would go show some support for their fire situation. They have a truck setup out front with tables and chairs and a very limited menu. I had the blackened Basa sandwich with green beans and homemade potato salad. It was soooo good! 😋 I'm so glad I got to experience this 🙌 So if you like good food, go see Tammy at the food truck! 🙂”
