Piano Lessons by Lana Jouk

It is with confidence and pleasure that I rate Lana Jouk with five stars. She has obvious knowledge and great skill with the piano, and flawlessly uses her expertise to teach.

I started my son (4-5 y/o at the time) in piano lessons because of his need to learn to sit still and focus, and because I believe piano is the perfect instrument for a child to start with. Lana is very strict, but very caring and encouraging. She was able to help my son not only to focus but find his gift for music as well. It’s amazing how far she’s taken him in piano and his own personal development, in just a year.

I would highly recommend Lana to anyone looking for a strict, structured, yet playful and caring teacher. She’ll turn your child into a master pianist.

Both of our kids started to play in no time, the recitals are wonderful and allow the kids to perform what they are learning. Lana is an amazing teacher, knowledgeable and patient with years of experience. If you are looking for a good piano teacher, look no further!!

My daughter Elizabeth was Lana’s first student in our household. At the time Elizabeth began taking lessons, Lana lived in our town in New Jersey. She would come to our house for half hour lessons once a week. Elizabeth wasn’t consistent with practice, but Lana was always patient and understanding. Our piano was handed down to us from Elizabeth’s grandparents and had sat silent in our living room for a couple of years, so it was so lovely to hear Lana and Elizabeth laughing and playing together. Elizabeth progressed very quickly with Lana, and it was only due to academic pressures that she discontinued lessons.

Elizabeth stopped her lessons at about the time that Lana moved to Florida. Lana knew that I had taken lessons when I was a child, but stopped when I was 14. She encouraged me to pick it up again and take FaceTime lessons with her, which has been working out very well. We started out with the most basic books, but soon I was playing fairly complicated multi-page songs. Lana is so patient with my patchy practice schedule and challenges with timing and key signatures, but she never scolds or makes me feel incompetent. I really enjoy my lessons with her and think of her as a friend.

We love Mrs. Lana!!! She has so much patience and dedication for each of her students. My daughter Fernanda started learning piano a little over ago and she has loved it ever since. I can’t emphasize how organized, structured and professional Mrs. Lana is with her piano classes. She will focus on having her students read the music and enjoy the story behind the song. She not only teaches my daughter to play the piano but she teaches her how to focus, respect and be a good person overall. I have four kids and I usually take them along with me to my daughters classes because they love to go see her sister learn. Without a doubt I recommend Mrs. Lana 🎶

Wonderful teacher ! We were a little nervous when both our ten-year-old and a five-year-old were beginning to take Face Time classes with Lana. To our amazement both kids fell in love with piano even though they have different temperaments. We were even more pleasantly surprised when our son started to read simple music texts after only a few classes in Real Time online. Lana's individual approach to kids really works! We are very glad our kids can be a part of her online personal tutoring!
