Lake Park

We really enjoyed our evening at Lake Park. The day price was very inexpensive and very clean. We brought our sons new RC car to the RC track. The crowd there was great and even though his was only a toy and nothing like the ones the big boys were driving they still welcomed him and made the entire experience enjoyable. We also took a nature walk on one of the many easily accessible trails. The sights were beautiful. The picnic areas were very clean and well maintained. We’ll definitely be back.

Another nice Hillsborough county park. Sufficient parking is available. Public restroom is available. There are picnic shelters and benches available. The trail is beautiful and is around a mile long. There are fitness equipments along the trail. On the other side of trail is a children play area. There is also kayak/canoeing area inside the park. The trail goes around a beautiful lake but one can get views only from a few access points.

Great park and not too far from what I'd call the center of Tampa.
There is canoeing, hiking trails (around a few scenic lakes), a BMX bike course and archery. There are rest rooms as well and some primitive picnic areas. They do have water stations but not many and they are not continuously fed so they could be empty - make sure to bring your own water!

My first time visiting this park. Walked the nature trail and drove around to see the lake views. Encountered 2 wild rabbits! Too cute! Didn't get a chance to see the eagles or ospreys or gators. I was extremely impressed by how well kept and clean the park was! And almost no one was there! Will definitely be back to connect again with nature.
