(January 11, 2021, 5:36 pm)This place preserves the native ecosystem of Florida - longleaf pines with an understory of saw palm and wiregrass prairies. It makes you imagine how Florida would have been before 1600s, with recurrent lightning fires shaping this ecosystem. There's a beautiful creek midway in the trail and the sunsets are amazing in the prairies. Thoroughly enjoyed my hike here.
