Quite a large park with a boat house and a few hiking trails and a playground, also covered picnic shelters. I think the shelters have been closed lately but may have opened since I last went. I believe there is also some sort of tower you can go up to look around the park and lake from above as well as wooden raised boardwalk to look for wildlife over the water. You can easily spend your entire day here but there is a fee to enter with options to pay for one day or the whole year. It can definitely get crowded on nice days. Be sure to pack a snack with you.
Great place to go for a walk and watch wildlife. Go slow and keep your eyes open to see a large assortment of birds, snakes, and alligators. They have canoe and kayak rentals and a really nice observation tower where you can catch a nice breeze while watching the gators swim across the river.
The scenery was beautiful. It was kept clean. Plenty of staff on hand keeping it nice. The rangers were awesome. Really enjoyed the boardwalk. There's several picnic areas as well as several areas with swings and exercise areas.
I really like the boardwalks that go over the lake and the observation tower gives you a really good view of the lake with a nice breeze. There are bathrooms which is also a bonus. Parking is $2 which is steal for such a nice park and trails. I hope I can rent a kayak or canoes soon. I will definitely be back.
Wonderful park. Very clean. Great place to take (quiet) children to see wildlife. While there for a birthday party with some friends we had seen 3 alligators and a very healthy black racer in their natural environment ? If you're interested in going bring $2.00 cash for entry. It's money well spent?
