  I had the lamb and it was fantastic. Its a bit spicy but thats how I like it. I saw a review about the honey wine before I went and I agree, you have to try it.

  Amazing food!!!! Really nice lady im guessing she is the owner..
  Food was amazing.. I may have said that already though. Drove from spring hill and it was well worth it!!
  Also they do sell raw coffee beans by the pound. If you're into mead I suggest you try their honey wine. You wont regret it.

  This is a simple, family-owned restaurant in a little strip plaza. You could easily drive right by and not notice it. Dont! My mother had a beef dish and loved it. I had a vegan platter with a sampling of all their vegan dishes on one plate. All five were delicious. The food is served with a traditional thin spongy crepe that you use to scoop up the food. The food is very flavorful, healthy, and reasonably priced, and the service is friendly.

  My children brought me to Mitmita for Father’s Day, and I must say, it has become my most memorable Father’s Day to date.
  We were greeted by the most wonderful host upon entering.
  The woman who took care of us treated us like a dinner guest in her home.
  The food was amazing! All three of my children (older teenagers) loved the food, and experience partaking in it, as much as I did. I allowed one of my sons to order for us as he had visited Mitmita previously. He ordered us beef (raw), chicken and lamb dishes. It was served on a communal plate.
  This was the first time I have ever had Ethiopian food, so I can’t attest to its authenticity. Here is what I can say: The experience seemed steeped in culinary tradition that is unlike any I have participated in before. That said, our hosts seemed as though they were providing a culinary experience that was true to their Ethiopian culture.
  Overall, we felt like honored guests, not patrons, and were served amazing food!
  We drove 45 minutes to visit Mitmita; it was well worth the drive and we will do it again.
  Thank you to our gracious hosts for making this year’s Father’s Day most memorable!

  Never been to an Ethiopian restaurant and nearly chickened out! But, I wanted to try something new for my birthday. My options for "new" are limited as a vegetarian, so I thought this would be suitable. I've never eaten anywhere that used bread as the primary eating utensil! In the end, I have to say the experience was delightful! First of all, the food was so good! There was one dish on the veg platter that was a bit too spicy, but otherwise I could eat that food nightly! And she served an iced tea that had cinnamon and possibly nutmeg in it. I loved it! The waitress, that I assume also owned the place, was as friendly as could be. Letting us know how the food was eaten and making sure we enjoyed every bite, which we did. There was not a thing to really complain about, except maybe the atmosphere was a little "sparse", but sitting with companions there is no reason you can't create your own atmosphere. Honestly I can't to go back!
