  After an emergency C-section with my first, I was determined to have the natural birth I felt robbed of with my second. Expressing my anxiety at another C section to a stranger ( could you tell how nervous I was) led me to Barefoot Birth at 6 months pregnant. Charlie was amazing. She is real and delivers facts. She armed me with the information I needed to have the birth I wanted. She is empathetic and compassionate. Erica and Bennet were also gems although I only saw Charlie for ninety percent of my visits. Charlie introduced me to my saint of a doula who coached and helped me thru my entire labor and birth. It was the most beautiful experience of my life. My births were completely different & I learned to advocate for myself. Now I’m a brown girl and the statistics especially for us preggos are not in our favor! Doctors can railroad us into what is more convenient for them instead of what our bodies are made to do. I can’t stress enough how amazing this tribe of women are!! I tell every mama I come across about Barefoot Birth! Love this place

  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Barefoot Birth midwives were the ONLY providers I could find to support our pregnancy and birth choices and plans. We planned a very hands off pregnancy and birth with little to no interventions and they went above and beyond to make this happen. They searched for other providers who would collaborate with us when needed, and support our choice to decline testing and interventions when we felt comfortable doing so. We were never pressured to go against our wishes and educated decisions. We were continually supported and encouraged to make our own educated choices. We felt safe and supported and loved every step of the way. We will definitely be calling barefoot birth for any future pregnancies (if that happens!!) and recommend them to everyone we know!!

  I had the most amazing experience here at one of Charlie's workshops last weekend. I learned so much about all aspects of being a doula. Charlie truly cares about the birth workers in her community and she cares deeply about the women they serve. I can't wait to take another workshop at The Roots!

  I had an amazing experience with Barefoot Birth! All of the midwives are so lovely! I personally exclusively saw Charlie for my appts. She is so so so amazing!! Very real and raw but in the most pleasant positive way! Always made me feel so comfortable in her presence. She took wonderful care of me and if I have the opportunity again I would follow their advice completely and hopefully be able to do the home birth with them! If you’re thinking of having midwifery care please don’t look elsewhere!!! This place is it!! They also offer mom group and birthing classes along with other things! They were very understanding of my financial situation and were able to accommodate me so that I was able to receive their care while not putting myself into debt! This review is a little all over the place *mom brain* but again I can’t recommend Barefoot Birth enough! Thank you endlessly for the awesome experience :)

  I used Barefoot Birth for my first pregnancy, and it was truly the best decision I could have made. The ladies at BFB are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and a dynamic group of women. Under their care I felt physically and mentally prepared for my home birth and even when things did not go as planned, they were right by my side to guide and support me through the process. I have full trust in the BFB team and will definitely be returning for my next pregnancy! Love those ladies
