  Although it’s been almost a week I didn’t forget the service that Small Jobs Electric completed at our home in Odessa Florida. More importantly I want to take a moment to commend an employee whose name is Jeff. He completed the multi point tune up and not only did he resolve the blinking light issue but found a few other problems during his tune up. He is to be commended for his good work and truly an asset to your company.

  Caution! Only use this company if you want a professional, prompt, knowledgeable electrician!! I called Small Jobs Electric because I thought it was a small job, putting in two ceiling fans on an outdoor screened porch. It turned out to not be such a small job after all. There was no electric in the porch ceiling. It had to be run from the attic. In 90 plus degree July heat, Adam and another gentleman worked in the attic and on the porch, in scorching heat, intalling my fans. He also installed a whole house surge protector as well. Other companies I called would not even return my call or said it would be weeks for an appointment. I highly recommend this company for any electric work. Very professional, all prices are in a book that they show you, so no guessing. I will certainly use them for any other electric issues I have.

  I had a manual transfer switch/plug installed so that I can use my portable generator to power my home in the event of a power outage, and it couldn't have been a better experience. Prior to the install, I was explained the pros and cons of using this solution, such as I won't be able to power my air conditioner. However, I was offered alternatives such as using portable AC's, which will suffice for a short term fix. The install took less than 90 minutes and this includes a full tutorial and walk through of the entire process. If you need a transfer switch/plug installed, I highly recommend Small Jobs Electric.   We had a Generac Transfer switch for a portable generator installed by Small Jobs Electric. From start to finish, this was a great experience. When we called for information, the office staff was prompt in returning our call and had an electrician, Nathaniel, contact us very quickly. He was able to provide an estimate by phone after we shared photos of the electrical panel and our generator. We scheduled an appointment for installation and Nathaniel and Sean called before arriving and were right on time. They were professional, polite, cautious regarding COVID and did a great job with the installation, thoroughly cleaning the area and even reattaching my utility hooks that had to be moved to accommodate the transfer switch. Then once the switch was installed, they encouraged us to record the process of using the switch for the future. Now if my husband or I aren't home when it's needed, we can share the video with whoever might need to start the generator in our absence. From start to finish, this was a 5 star effort. We will definitely use Small Jobs Electric in the future should we ever need an electrician!

  We had an issue where our electric range stopped working (pop, crackle-sizzle, smoke). I thought the range had fried its insides. When the new one was delivered they pulled out the old one and there was a junction box right next to the 3 prong outlet. Both boxes were charred, I opened the junction box and it was completely burnt up inside.
  
  I opted for Small Jobs Electric because they would quote the job without charging, they and the other company we were considering both had good reviews and could come out the same day. So it may have been a slow day. I am not sure if they typically have a trip charge, one of the other reviews indicates they did have one. I think most electricians do have a trip charge, and they'll waive it if they do the work quoted.
  
  Ryan was the electrician that performed our service. He was very professional and he kept me in the loop on what he was doing and why. He also tightened up some loose connections in the breaker box. I'm not an electrician, but I took a guess at what needed to be done. He did essentially what I was expecting and didn't try pushing unnecessary work. He did upgrade to a 4 wire from the 3 wire system we had previously. My research indicates this is a good thing, and that the 3 wire system may have actually caused the range to fail after the short . The range was still getting electricity, the display was still functional, but the stove top and oven didn't work.
  
  As far as price I really have no reference for electricians, but I didn't expect it to be cheap. It wasn't, but it was in the range I would expect for a professional job with the materials and time involved.
  
  This was our first experience using an electrician, but we've had plumbers come out and refuse to do the work requested unless they replaced everything including the kitchen sink when all I asked them to do was clear a drain! Of course I sent them packing and moved on to the next plumber. I'm glad we selected Small Jobs Electric and got the choice of electricians right on the first try!
