  Extremely pleasent hosts. The property is beautiful as well as the rooms. Good parking lot for all size vehicles. The locarion is directly across from the lake so you get a great breeze. The grounds are only about a ten minute walk from downtown Mt. Dora, where the ahops are very well off. Breakfast was incredible amd my wife and I loved the seating area. The building is covered in beautiful oil paintings of russian wolf hounds, we had the pleasure of meeting the three that live there. All and all I would recommend this place to anyone especially for a romantic get away with your lover!

  Lovely weekend with hubby at Heron Cay. All the modern convenience (air, plumbing) with a turn off the century feel. Amazing breakfasts

  We just spent a fantastic anniversary weekend at this amazing place. From the moment we walked through the door and was warmly greeted by Margie, if felt so comfortable. We received a tour and enjoyed seeing most of the rooms and the rest of the home. Beautiful pictures, antiques and great interesting memorabilia everywhere, could have spent an entire day browsing. The breakfasts were fantastic and Margie and Randy couldn't do enough for us. We will be back and will enjoy one of the other gorgeous rooms. Thank you for one of our best weekends!

  What an amazing place. It's like stepping into a sweet museum. This house is full of history (even though it's not that old) Every room is themed differently and you get a different feel depending on where you stay. The owners are a sweet couple who took their time in making sure our stay was wonderful. We got a tour of this wonderful place, a very large room, and the scrumptious breakfast was custom made just for us. This is a wonderful place to stay that I highly recommend! You won't be sorry.
