  Delicious food and great relaxed place. Havana 1959 Cuban Cuisine Restaurant is a nice neighborhood establishment to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nothing fancy with style, just a down home spot: you go for the great food and friendly service. Dawn and I have been multiple times and will continue to return.
  The only critique is the style of the empanadas, a bit too much crust and slightly dry. Crust was like eating a heavy pie. The whole fish is fantastic.

  I can honestly say that Havana 1959 gives Copacabana a run for their money when it comes to best Cuban cuisine in Lake County. I’ve been to Havana 1959 three times and have been very pleased with their food and as well as their friendly staff. It’s tucked away in an older house on old 441 but there are plenty of places to sit and eat. Their Cuban sandwiches are definitely top notch. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat! 5/5*

  The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. The food was great and came out quite quickly. We were there on a Saturday for lunch and it was not crowded. We sat and the enclosed patio portion but just passed that is a dining room. The place seemed clean. I got the club sandwich which was very tasty and it came with fries so I think you can make some substitutions and my husband got the Cuban sandwich which comes with plantain chips. Everything was great and my husband has now chosen this as one of his top two favorite Cuban sandwiches of all times. I enjoyed my sandwiches well the fries were good and hot and crispy and the plantain chips were tasty as well. One thing I will note is that if you sit in the enclosed porch area weather still might be a factor as far as temperature. Friends of mine went over the summer and said that if you sit near the door a lot of hot air was always coming in, yet today it was chillier and very Breezy and cool air was coming through so consider sitting in the dining room during more extreme weather conditions. They do have some nice seating out front under umbrellas and there are a few tables in the back as well. Just a note as far as decor it would probably be nice if they were to replace the vinyl windows in the patio area with the acrylic sliders. They turn cloudy and give an appearance of being dirty but that is the nature of these windows as they age. Maybe some better Lighting in the dining room area. It didn't seem like the ceiling light fixtures that the dacor very well. But all in all we had a great meal and will be back.

  2nd time here and this place is amazing. My granddaughter loves the Cuban sandwich and the flan is original. My husband had the whole red snapper great can't wait till they start Sunday brunch with champagne. Also as a business owner please look into negative reviews. Most times they are negative about everyone

  The food and the service was great, BUT the reason that will prevent me from coming back in the future is the very strong smell of food left on my clothes when I left the restaurant... it didn’t fade away either... the smell followed us all through the day.
