The one thing I like about it is that it’s never super crowded except in the early mornings when there is a lot of older people having their coffee but I guess this gives this restaurant a friendly environment. The growing here is very friendly. I never had an issue here.”

“Hands down some of the best food on the island! You may not get the beach front views, so I suggest getting your meal to go and just eating at the beach if you want that. But most other places are not great and are double the price. The staff were all so nice and we were seated immediately at 4:00pm. I live in Florida and have eaten almost everywhere on the island. This is definitely in the Top 5.”

“Tradition for us is getting a couple subs for a long hike at a nearby state park, we decided on this one. Very good! In these days of overloading subs and making them more than they need to be, this was amazing! Sometimes keeping it simple just works...fresh bread, fresh veggies, fresh meats, it just hit the mark for us! The shop made you feel welcome and give that feeling of stepping back to the 80's / 90's nostalgia I have very much missed over the years. Well done PJ's Sub Shop, thank you!”

“My wife and I had such a great experience here over Easter weekend. The restaurant is right on the water and offers a great view of the bay. They have fantastic appetizers and great drinks. Try their red or white wine sangria! Their food is also delicious and has a wide variety of things. I would get the faroe island salmon or fried chicken! Definitely our favorite restaurant in long boat key!”

“This is a nice sports bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. Pool table and darts available to play. Lots of tvs. Prices reasonable. The only negative for me is that it's a bar that allows smoking inside and I personally don't do well in that environment so we didn't stay long.”

“This was an awesome place for breakfast. My granddaughter was able to order a youth-sized portion of the breakfast special. My daughter wanted to order two different flavors of pancakes...blueberry and pumpkin; the server allowed her to mix them. I had a wonderful omelet. Instead of toast or an English muffin, I chose the house-made biscuits. They were ginormous and delicious! We had to take home some of our food because the portions are plentiful. This places features great food at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Don’t miss this place!”

During the Covid fiasco they were still our favorite take out. The past few months however, the service had gone so far through the toilet, we have to debate whether or not to go. The food is still fantastic, but it’s hard to spend our evening out here anymore. Original review: After two years this is still or favorite place to go for a light meal. The Florida Roll is fantastic. Sashimi is a little pricey, but all the food is very good.”
