Didn't get to stay, they were booked solid. I will have to make another trip. They were very helpful in finding a good place for me to stay.
It was absolutely beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. I believe this will be a regular stopping spot when we visit this area. Very peaceful as well.
We go to Silver Springs at least once a month, sometimes more, to canoe. It is very clean & well maintained. The only time we have not seen any gators was this past weekend when instead we were treated to manatee spotting. In the summer the stores are nice to grab water, a quick bite or icecream.
Nice campground in a large park setting. Bring a bike as there are plenty of riding options both on road and groomed trails.
It was a really nice state park. Camp sites were large and private. It was off season and very hot, and there wasn't any swimming facilities. Nice clean restrooms and showers. The glass bottom boat was nice and we enjoyed sitting in the rockers watching the boats. Some beautiful flowers to enjoy as well. Ice cream shop and snackbar souvenir shop all convenient for you to enjoy.
