(May 4, 2018, 12:25 pm)I had the pleasure of stopping by New Shoots Bamboo today. From the moment I turned in I was in awe at the huge expanse of bamboo that surrounded me. It was truly a WOW moment. The manager Alex was awesome and Janet took me around the property to show me their selection. I was impressed in so many ways. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. HUGE selection and a display you’ll never forget!!!

(January 9, 2018, 10:31 pm)It's hard not to fall in love with bamboo after a trip out to this magical, rustling nursery. My mother-in-law and I drove out to pick out a bamboo plant to help block our neighbor's backyard stadium light and we were not disappointed. Alex gave us a tour, helped us pick out the right variety and size, and even gave us some mulch to pile up around its base. He also told me how to make the plant divert, so it doesn't encroach on the neighbor's fence. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a privacy plant - and really great people with advice on how to maintain it. NOTE: the entrance is at least a half-mile further down the road than where Google maps wants to take you.

Learned about clumping types they sell vs the crazy run amok type that give bamboo a bad name. Colors and textures were striking and if I had the room, I'd plant all of them but will likely choose the Gold or Blue
