This is a great place to take the family. There are many different areas to explore, animals, fish, exhibits (rain forest, coral reef), interactive activates. This place flat out rocks. Remember this is in Golden Gate park which is huge and has lots to do other than this. we parked on the street for free and walked a short distance in. I would recommend this place for a family outing.
This is definitely one of the "must go" places in Miami. Forget about the parties and the beach for a while and take a relaxing walking tour in this beautiful garden/mansion/museum. The blend between nature and colonial/Victorian architecture here is just amazing. I recommend this place to come with friends or family or as a date. Also if you love taking beautiful pictures this place will give you tons of opportunities to practice.
We loved this museum. You'll be surrounded by beautiful gardens, it's easy to get lost in it's beauty!! The home itself is great, loads of historical tidbits that can be found interesting to a wide age range. The gardens are massive and even the water views are spectacular. Parking is easy and ticket costs seemed appropriate.
We had a lovely afternoon at Vizcaya! The property is amazing, the gardens stunning! Due to some renovations, we couldn't see the upper floors of the main house, and while that was unfortunate, we were SO impressed with the rest of the house that we just looked at it as an excuse to come back again and see the house and gardens again...and it will be most worth a return trip! And, because of the lack of access to the upper floors, Vizcaya was offering a discounted entry fee! This place is truly worth visiting...and it at times felt like one was stepping back in time to Italy 150 years ago...just mesmerizing!
