Miami Shores Montessori School

Our 7 year old son started at Miami Shores Montessori School when he was 2.5 years old. We cannot emphasize enough what an absolutely amazing school this is! The teachers are great and the director, Sylvia, knows how to run a school that encourages children to thrive. Our son has had great academic achievements as well as grown emotionally through the years. The teachers have been able to individualize his lessons so that he enjoys learning and have taken him to his utmost potential. The school community is also extremely caring and nurturing. We are forever grateful!

Great school: we came for a summer camp but stayed for a full year. Very caring and knowledgeable staff. Caring social environment, nice kids, intellectually challenging. Thank you for all your hard work!

I absolutely love Miami Shores Montessori School and I can't recommend enough this great school. My daughter joined the school during the pandemic and the way they managed it was flawless. Sylvia, the owner and all the teachers are fantastic and I truly appreciate all the care, dedication and warmth they have given to my daughter. There is always great communication and connection with parents and the school. We have had an amazing experience at Miami Shores Montessori. Our daughter joined the school at 18 month and has now been there for six years. She is learning so much as the teachers are program are exceptional. Most importantly, our daughter is an extremely happy girl and a big part of that has been the love the teachers have shown her and the friends she has made at the school. Our experience has been wonderful.

I can not say enough great things about Miami Shores Montessori School. My daughter went there for 4 years and my son for a year until we moved to a different city in the spring of 2020. We already miss it so much!

The director of the school, Sylvia Laurent, has created the most amazing nourishing environment for kids' inquisitive minds in a true Montessori fashion.

If you are looking for a school where teachers are top quality and genuinely care about students and their academic success, look no further. It is a beautiful oasis in the educational desert that is Miami. Miss Alex who was my daughter's first grade teacher is a total rockstar ; )) I have yet to find someone who is so invested in her students and is willing to help them and parents any day of the week whether it is an assignment or a question they might have.

Miss Kat has a gentle and loving heart and is so patient with children. I truly envy her ability to stay calm and composed at all times. It's a special kind of talent.

Mrs Laura, my son's preschool teacher, is always full of ideas and is very helpful, kind and caring as well.

I'd like to add that my daughter has multiple food allergies and the school and teachers were always accommodating when it comes to her restricted diet, checking with me at all times if she can eat certain foods. It is such a relief knowing that other people care about your kids and their health as much as we parents do. The attention to details is superb there.

I highly recommend this school and even though it is a private school with a high price tag, it is so worth it. My kids are growing to be independent and well-adjusted individuals in many ways because of the education and values instilled in them by the teachers in Miami Shores Montessori School. I could not be more happier to have chosen this school for them.
