  I have a 3 year daughter that I need to put into preK. After my friends experience I wouldn’t dare put my daughter in the preK program because only one teacher teaches it. Miss CAUDILLO pre K class. Imagine it was my niece first experience with school and being away from mommy. She made my niece life a nightmare when she had to go to school. One day she was nice and the next day she was so unkind with her words. There are journal entry’s that she writes the students report daily to the parents. One day she decides to write “Today was another day of crying & I decided to put her in front of mirror and say look how ugly you look when you cry. School is no place for drama queens.” My friend told the principle about this journal entry. When the principle wanted to see it the page it was mysterious ripped out of the book. And the teacher was at a loss of words to where the page went. I am only writing this review to warn other parents about this teacher’s behavior. I would highly recommend you enroll your child in another pre-K program. At the Christmas show all her students looked scared of her. Why is that? Something is obviously wrong. Do you want this same experience for you? I am not sure why this lady is still here. Maybe a long time ago she was a good teacher but now she no longer knows what it entitles to be a good teacher. She must have lost her spark. We have spoken to other parents who feel the same way towards this teacher. My friends neighbor was talking about the school and how much they loved the kindergarten teachers with my friend. She started to mention miss CAUDILLO they said “ don’t even mention that teachers name to me”. Now my niece’s teachers in kindergarten are amazing and are everything a teacher should be. Great school but the preK class with miss CAUDILLO should be revised and given a new instructor. Imagine it’s the first year your child is experiencing school and this lady will put you and your child through hell. She did it to many many parents allot of whom don’t speak up. Don’t put yourself through this.

  My two daughters attended Sylvania Heights, I consider it to be a little "gem" in the heart of West Miami. My girls were eager to attend school every day. I felt the school environment and teachers provided them with an excellent foundation all around. My children remind me each day how happy they were at this school. That definitely says a lot about Sylvania Heights Elementary. Lovely experience.

  Both I and my two children attended Sylvania Heights. It is a GREAT school, where students are offered the most challenging classes so they are successful in middle-school and beyond, with a neighborhood-family atmosphere that you don't often find in other schools.

  Great! School and education. These were the best! 6yrs of my school life. Secretary ms Gonzalez, and Hernandez never forgotten. And definetly (LOLITA) THE CROSS GUARD
