Such an interesting museum! Lots of unique exhibits and interactive opportunities. It’s on the smaller side so we had time to see everything. Attendants are also helpful and encouraging. The gardens outside are beautiful as well!

Im not a big fan of museums and when i visited this, some galleries were closed, so after 40 minutes i was done. Any way we took some good pictures that you can’t find anywhere else. The place is very clean and the staff is really helpful.

I went to this museum for an event. The museum was open to go through the exhibit on the second and first floor.

The event had an open bar and some pretty good appetizers. Not sure if they had an put door vendor for the bar and food.

Either way, the setting was great for the event. I am not sure the price, but it was pretty cool. Might be worth to check it out.

I want too into the art exhibit, but it wasn’t bad.

The Bass is a MUST SEE on Miami Beach! Wonderful, friendly staff and security, delicious food in the cafe, and a truly thought-provoking and engaging array of art throughout the various exhibitions, which have been carefully curated. I was lucky enough to see the Botticelli restoration, which was a great treat as I was expecting to see only contemporary art, but I learned about the Old Master's that was part of the founding collection. The Bass is a small but mighty contemporary art powerhouse on Miami Beach. Run, don't walk.

Thank you BM for the opportunity to see "The coronation of the Virgin," it was a special treat. In order to make this rare experience even richer, I'd suggest to the museum management to place at least one comfortable bench in front of this 106" X 69" masterpiece. There is a lot to appreciate in it and it may take time. To be fair, there were, in fact, two stools in the room, and I sat on one of them for a brief moment. However, the security man, very politely, told me that the stools were to be used exclusively to watch the video "about" the restoration of the painting, NOT the painting itself (The painting doesn't seem to deserve a stool, but the movie about the painting, does). Therefore, in other words, in order to stay sitting, the security man instructed me that I'd have to turn my body 90 degrees and look at the video monitor on the other wall, not at the painting. I guess that, in order to comply with the rules, if while watching the movie I wanted to look at the painting to relate the movie/restoration work to the artwork itself, I'd need to perform a succession of stand ups/turn 90 degrees to face the painting, then turn back the same 90 degrees to face the video monitor, and sit down again. And again and again, as my curiosity demanded. Feels more like being in a gym than in a museum... Let me point out that there were comfortable benches in the other rooms. Another detail, I was accompanying an elderly artist with serious breathing difficulties (for example, he could not climb the stairs to the second floor to see the Sheila Hicks exhibition and the elevators were out of order). He was also told to get up and NOT use the stools to look at the painting. Only to watch the video. "Security" in the other galleries felt somewhat overbearing as well.
On the positive side, today, Sept 29th, was a "free admission" day, and the ladies at the information counter were super nice and helpful. Thank you again BM.
