  Great place to bring your business. They service a fleet of trucks from our company. George and Nelson always make sure we get vehicles back quickly and fixed properly.

  My wife was driving down West Avenue when a tire popped, a hole punched in the wall by whatever debris as on S.Beach roads that day. She called me, I told her she needed to drive slowly to Shorty & Fred's as it was the only place close enough to get to. To be honest at that time I was nervous: it's an old school car repair shop, on the beach, and your desperate...
  
  However, after the 5* experience that day we never went anywhere else for the 8 years we lived on S.Beach. The standout example was a refusal to do $2,000 of work on it, showing us the cascade of other stuff waiting to go due to corrosion from driving through the floods on Ocean Ave, Alton etc etc, recommending we go sell it at CarMax and come back when our new cars was ex-warranty.

  Good technical service and better prices than most of the mechanics in the area. This family owned shop was recommended to me by somebody in the local community. I became a customer.
