I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place if you enjoy stepping back in time. We had to cut our visit short because they closed at 4pm but the guy locking up walked with us because he let us look at the few homes and when we were done he locked up behind us. He told our kiddos about the homes and what was going on in them....he is a very nice guy. I didn't catch his name.
They have a nice little playground for the children to play in. They also have a baseball field and some beautiful old trees.
Lovely newish tennis courts and beautiful oak trees with Spanish moss. Take a moment to look at the old construction methods in the period specific miniature town. Very cool! Take the kids for a picnic and look at the calendar of upcoming events!
Very nice museum, it is a park also so bring a picnic for lunch. The best thing they keep adding to the museum with the old cracker style homes, that are filled with original products of that time. Will definitely visit again soon!!
I loved it! A very nice place to take the family to site see and walk around. Has a playground for kids. Just make sure to be there nice and early to be able to see all the things there
Love it!!! Such an amazing place to go learn about the history of the 1900's and the 1800's. Staff are super nice and are really helpful. Cabins have a lot of neat things to look at. Big playground for the little ones. Animals are well kept here. Just an amazing place to be. For sure coming back.
