Dr Rich is the best pediatrician there is. He's great with the kids and really works with parents alternate vaccination schedule.
I had a less than stellar experience at a well reviewed pediatrician so I was a bit skeptical after seeing negative reviews here. The office itself is a bit difficult to find but that bright yellow caught my eye after driving around the building complex. I was greeted instantly and signing in was a breeze. I preemptively filled out the new patient forms which helped save time. I was called back very quickly and we were directed to a brightly decorated room with Doc McStuffins decals on the walls (which really interested my little guy).
The nurse was very warm and friendly towards my kiddo. She took his vitals, got a general health history and said the Doctor would be in shortly. The wait wasn't too long (I've experienced worse).
Dr. Rich entered the room smiling brightly and greeted my little guy, which instantly put a smile on his face in return. He asked me a few questions about my preferences for my son's treatment and vaccine schedule (this is an alternative schedule friendly office, for the inquiring minds). He gave my munchkin a basic physical and some helpful tips about first foods. To say Dr. Rich is great with kids would be the understatement of the year.
The nurse returned and it was time for the dreaded vaccines. She was so sweet and patient. She administered his shots quickly. He didn't really notice his first but after that, it was downhill. It must not have hurt too badly because he didn't even cry for a full minute and he wasn't very distraught about it. After picking him up, he was fine. He was smiling again before we even left the office.
So far, this place certainly has my vote.
I have been taking my son who is now two years old to Sunshine Pediatrics since he was a newborn. Nothing but positive experiences since then. Especially being a first-time mother I have had several questions and concerns throughout these past years and every time I call to ask a question on the nurse line they have been attentive and super helpful. I love Dr. Rich especially but have had only positive experiences with the nurses and nurse practitioners that I have encountered. I love this office and hope we are always able to stay with this office!
