I have dined here twice recently. The service on Fri Apr 16 was particularly excellent with an engaging server. The food is delicious, especially the seasoned fries - don't miss those. Breakfast omelettes are large portions - could be shared. I've taken half home both times.
I have been to the diner twice for breakfast, it was excellent, a very good breakfast. But when I was their for lunch boy what a difference. I ordered the Greek gyro, the presidention looked good I couldn't wait to get started. To my surprise what looked like a lot of meat was only a small portion of meat chopped up and lade at the top of the gyro, when their made properly they're strips of lamb meat from top to bottom, strips not little pieces laid across the top of the opening. I told the server a young lady and her reply was ho well, she could not give a sh-- t, for that and for someone to make a dish like that and charge better than 10.00 dollars I won't ever be back. That's only one dish you don't know how to make, God knows what else, and charge a ridiculous price, no I won't be back sorry.
Good breakfast restaurants seem ever more difficult to find. The Diner was a great find. I sneakily (pretty sure that is a word) love biscuits and gravy topped with fried eggs. Well they are great. Also enjoyed the eggs Benedict over a crispy muffin. Coffee was on spot and the staff prompt and courteous.
Will go back again.
