I'll be honest, in the beginning I too was a little frustrated, until I realized I was dealing with the wrong folks. The next time I was in the office, I expressed my displeasure with my Dr's nurse and she was horrified at what I told her. She gave me a direct dial line to her desk AND her email address. MOST of my questions/concerns are not those that need an IMMEDIATE response, but I do want to know that I was heard and replied to. Since than 90% of my communication has been through email. I usually get a reply within 1 business day, OFTEN I find the issue resolved BEFORE I read a reply. My wife has performed a similar function in the healthcare field for 30 years, so I know that many of these nurses recive 100+ calls every day. I also know most nurses do everything they can to triage them by priority. So before you get mad, make sure your mad at the right person for a valid reason.
