I met Sumera in 2016-2017 she had come to volunteer and observe my classroom. At the time I had been teaching for 4 years working with children ages 2-5. When Sumera called me I had just stopped teaching and promised myself I wouldn’t go back.I had started to feel burnt out from teaching. How sad is that? I was 23 years young and burnt out. I was scared to go back to the same child care system where the classrooms are packed with children to make money and the director is rarely seen.
Some voicemails later I decided to take another chance on teaching. Which turns out was the best choice. Sumera is as hands on as it gets, a true leader. All of the teachers at Learning Minds Montessori have a common goal, to care for the children, show them love, and respect them as the betterment of society. It truly feels like the children are experiencing a second home when being in the school. I am grateful to be part of a school that dose not limit children or see them as inferior because of their age but instead challenges them and gives them a voice.
I am grateful to have found the right school to entrust my two little ones with. From my first meeting with Ms. Sumera, the energy was right. Learning Minds Montessori is exactly what I have been looking for. My mind is at peace knowing that they are both in such an organized, friendly, clean, loving, supportive, mentally stimulating environment. Thank you for caring for our children as if they were your own.
Learning Minds Montessori is a wonderful place for your child to start their educational journey. The teachers are kind and caring. The classroom size is small, so everyone gets the attention they deserve. Everything my child has learned in his first 6 months at LMM has exceeded my expectations. The children engage in lessons and do STEM activities (regardless of age - everything is tailored to their skill level). They do not utilize technology in the classroom but instead encourage active learning and playing - something every child needs more of!
Learning Minds Montessori is an amazing school! My 2 year old was having a hard time at another school and today, she asks to go to school (since starting at Learning Minds) every single day; and when I pick her up she says "I want to stay mommy!!". It warms my heart because I know she is being well taken care of and being loved. We LOVE ALL the teachers and Mrs Sumera is absolutely incredible with the kids. My girl is learning way ahead of any child her age and I definitely believe the school has a lot to do with her growth. The school is also always well organized, clean and offers enough unique activities each day. I couldn't have asked for a greater healthy positive environment for my little girl, and I can't wait until her little brother is old enough to join her ;)
When we moved from the UK we looked everywhere for a school that would have the same standards of learning as in Europe. We initially went to a well known community school and were completely appalled at the lack of care and attention. It was clear the children were dollar signs rather than individuals to be nurtured. We were so thrilled to find Sumera and the Learning Minds family. They are truly exceptional and, frankly, give a higher quality of engagement than we could even recreate at home!
