Clean rooms and great service, plus having a complimentary warm cookie at check in was a nice bonus. You have to pay for overnight parking which I would have like to know beforehand, but staying here was well worth it. 5 minutes from Universal Studios!
First time staying at this double tree . Very nice decor and the staff are very inviting feel to them. Love the fact they give you fresh cookies when you checkin. Only thing is parking 23 bucks seriously ?. Good thing to tell your guest prior to booking! Also i stayed in room 1631 nice and clean but failed short on trash bag in the can and the shower door wouldn't close all way . So of course the floor got all wet up . Overall nice location for the hotel lots of stuff close by .
Stayed this past Wednesday and Thursday, and had an amazing experience. The valet gentleman were very nice, polite, and helped explain where to park our car. Then also helped explain where to walk to get to Universal city walk. The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff greeted us with smiling faces (even when wearing protective face masks) and warm hospitality. Hand Sanitizer stations were nice to have everywhere and our room was very nice. We will absolutely be back! Especially with just a 15 min or less walk to Universal across the street!!
I only stayed one night and for the price I think the room was great. I'm not a fan of the carpeting and as expected had a musky smell initially. I don't know if it went away or I got used to it. The bathroom was nice and roomy with a walk in shower. Didn't care for the motion sensor lights on the night stands. They randomly would turn on at night and freak me out. What's triggering them to go on?!!! I also got unlucky to get a room right in the elevator area so I heard everyone on my floor coming and going. The front desk staff was great and the parks and food are all in walking distance. Overall it's a decent deal. It sounds good for 50 bucks but then it's really over $70 with the parking.
Beautiful hotel! The bed was extremely comfortable and we had the best view of Universal Studios from our room! The pool is decent size and there is even a candy store! Be prepared to pay for parking each night you stay but all in all this place is excellent and the staff were great! Loads of things to do and places to eat right by the hotel as well!
