“Down for a short visit to Singer Island (near West Palm Beach), I was practicing my serve while Anthony Taverna on the next court was giving a fellow vacationer a lesson. On a break from his lesson, Anthony gave me a few short pointers. Those pointers made a world of difference in just minutes’ time. Eager to learn more, I scheduled three more one-hour lessons over the course of 6 days. I ended up getting the full VIP Tennis service—an analysis of my strengths and weaknesses, three excellent hours of very helpful instruction, and an opportunity to systematically test out a variety of racquet types, weights, and strings. I purchased a new customized racquet from VIP Tennis, and then I returned home. Although my home instructor was initially skeptical of my new racket, he was pleased to know that Anthony had inquired about what I had been working on at home with him , and that Anthony was careful to add to that work, not conflict with it. Said my home instructor, “That’s the mark of a true professional.” My home instructor was also pleasantly surprised at the increased power of my play. With the info I acquired in just three hours of targeted lessons with Anthony, and with my new racquet, I made significant breakthroughs in my game.
