I have been using opiates for ten years when I came across an ad for South Florida detox. At this point I had already lost my job, house,friends,family and self worth. I figured I would give them a try;at this point I has nothing left to loose. I was very uncomfortable and embarrassed to make the call. But when I finally did it I was put to ease immediately. The girl who answered the phone told me she was in recovery herself and understands. I made my appointment. From my first visit the staff Mari, Alfredo, Jeanette, and Gracie were very understanding and knowledgeable about Suboxone and detoxing . I met with Dr. Perez who put me on a Suboxone schedule tapering me down weekly I was able to finish the program in five weeks and when I was done I was just a little tired but nothing compared to coming off opiates. They told me in the office I might want to try AA meetings and they had meeting list in the office. I still go to meetings once a week. I have been clean over two years now. I have a full time job friends my relationship with my family are getting better everyday and I am extremely happy and like myself again. I am so glad I called South Florida Detox they literally saved my life.
