Five Star Marine

Rebuilding a '96 Yamaha 40 TLRU. Started on the tilt/trim and Yamaha does not sell the trim cyl end cap. Yamaha makes you purchase the entire sub assembly for $400+. 5 Star Marine actually sells the cap with o-rings/seal and I was able to to pick it up same day along with all the other proper o-rings to re-seal the sub assembly. Everyone there was very nice and informative!

Whenever my 2005 Yamaha 150 trim and tilt started leaking fluid and making a terrible squealing noise, I decided to pull the unit off and rebuild it myself. My boat motor does not stay sitting in the salt water all of the time. It gets used but then brought home and cleaned every time. However, as I was pulling the unit apart, I found the bolts were corroded, and I could barely get them broke loose and taken out. Some of the Allen bolts were so tight, they would not come loose. I stopped and took the unit to Five Star Marine. They rebuilt my unit, installed a new drive motor, and gave me back a unit ready to bolt up and go. It is quieter and a lot faster than ever before!! They were right on time, called me when it was ready, and the price was exactly what they said it would be. I am no longer seeing a puddle of fluid under my boat motor where my trim and tilt leaked before!! Thanks, Five Star Marine!! You did a great job for me. I highly recommend Five Star Marine.

Melinda and the fine people at Five Star Marine are top notch. I had a 4 year old trim and tilt Yamaha pump that the seals went bad and shot the motor. True to their word, within 5 days of receiving it, it was done and ready to ship back to the dealer. The dealer quoted me $2800 for a new pump and motor, and Five star rebuilt it for a quarter of that price. Melinda was awesome to deal with, and you should not hesitate one bit to trust them with your boat issues. Thanks so much for the awesome service!!!

I am beyond happy for my freshly rebuilt trim motor. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about the issues I was having and did an excellent job rebuilding the motor. Super fast turnaround times and upfront about pricing. Happy to be back on the water!
