We recently got a 8 week old puppy and all I can say is we were so please with the whole process from start to finish!! Steve and his family raised wonderful and healthy pups at their home. We couldn’t be happier with our choice going with Bones Retrievers!
We got our Luna from Bone’s Retrievers in September 2019. Best decision we made! She has been such an amazing addition to our family. When we went to pick her up, we got to meet both her parents (Jayden and Gunner), who are both very calm and friendly. Steve was very welcoming and gave us a lot of great information as well as a tour of the facility. You can tell they care a lot for their dogs!
When Luna had gotten sick from eating a poisonous frog, my husband texted Steve about it. He immediately called us and wanted to check to see how Luna was doing. He continued to check up on her until we were sure she was going to be fine. We still get texts from him occasionally asking how she’s doing. He cares a lot about the puppies!
Bone’s Retrievers is the way to go if you want a family-friendly dog. Luna is such a sweetheart, and gets along with everyone (humans, other dogs, and even cats!). We have people comment all the time on how good Luna is. She does very well with kids, and has a very sweet and playful personality. She’s also always up for anything, whether it’s lounging around the house or going on an adventure. My husband and I moved across the country recently, and Luna made a great travel companion. She’s very intelligent and picked up on a lot of training and commands quickly. Potty-training her was a breeze!
In short, if you’re looking for a smart, sweet, family-friendly dog, look no further than Bone’s Retrievers!
Love Bone's Retrievers! Last year after our dog Tucker passed away, we just had to have a new Golden. We found Bone's Retrievers and were happy to put down a $300 deposit to reserve our new fur baby. We got an announcement the day the puppies were born, and then got to visit the breeder/kennel when the pups were 4 weeks old. We were getting a male, and that litter only had 2 boys - but Steve let us meet and play with both, to try to see which puppy personality fit us best. We got frequent updates and photos while the puppies were growing, and at the end of 8 weeks and after a healthy puppy vet visit, we got to pick our Ozzie up. From beginning to receiving our puppy, Bones' was wonderful to work with. As previous Golden breeders, we really appreciated the work and love Steve and Virginia put into their dogs. We are so happy with our boy Ozzie. Highly recommend this breeder.
I had the best experience ever with Bone's Retrievers. My boy, Obie, came from there. Not only was the process easy, the pups were kept in incredible conditions and taken care of medically with an incredible amount of love. I met his parents and siblings before making the decision. Both owners were very straightforward and completely HONEST in their dealings and there were ZERO surprises. I cannot recommend their services enough. My family and I will use no one but Bone's going forward because we know they care and we trust them fully.
