Shephard's Beach Resort

We were meeting family at the resort, so we did not get to see beyond the lobby, bar/eating area and the beach. Still I think I can say confidently this place is fantastic! The waiter we had was beyond helpful and accommodating as he could be. We enjoyed our food, I personally loved my blackened fish tacos. The view of the beach area appears to be pretty great no matter where you sit, even at the bar. The beach itself is interesting, looks like it is carefully manicured or something as it seems almost too beautiful. Little rock jetted helping to break the waves up makes it easier for the younger ones to play in the waves without being floored. On a nice day, I'm sure you'll see tons of boats going by as we did.

Extensive buffet of sliced ham, bone-in grilled chicken, fluffy French toast served hot; salad bar had yogurt & tons of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries all perfectly ripe; dessert table cream-filled crepes, cinnamon apple pastries, cream cheese Danishes and cinnamon buns. Service was excellent. Holiday party was a bit difficult to figure out entrance to venue (beach front) but staff very friendly and helpful. Parking Valets got through double line of cars backed onto the street in record time. Staff deserves a raise! Only add would be stronger coffee but the server made a special trip to bring us 2 hot cups just brewed! Can’t be mad about that!

Excellent hotel just off the Gulf. It's on the water and has a small beach and a large outdoor pool. The facilities and rooms were outstanding. Very clean resort with infused air when you walk into lobby (smelled great). Resort has a small restaurant and a large outdoor bar area. They also have live music on a big stage.

Absolutely LOVED this place. Rooms were beautiful and mattresses were VERY comfortable. The shower...OMG. I'd give anything to have that shower in my home. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Valet guys definitely take care of you! I accidentally left my cell phone in the car and they brought it to my room for me! Good food and loved the music! Can't wait to come back!

I don't know anything about staying the night there at the resort, however I've been to the beach front restaurant and it's great. Good service, good food, GREAT atmosphere with live music and beautiful sunset scenes. I highly recommend. Not cheap, not expensive, just right.
