New Hotel Collection Harbourside Resort

I rarely write reviews but I gotta give credit where credit is due. I travel a lot and live in Charleston, sc, and adore the gulf side of Florida. Can’t beat the crystal clear water and white sand. I’ve stayed in many resorts along that coast and this one is by far one of my favorites. The location is fantastic. Not only is it walking distance to the ocean but we had easy access to restaurants, groceries, shops, and of course the water park! My kids, ages 14 and 12, had such a blast at the water park. As a parent I loved it too because there are lifeguards on duty, they supply towels, and food was easy to order and right on site, adult drinks too, and the staff was great, so I had very little worry. Our room was beautiful too! Kitchen was so roomy and equipped with everything you need. If you wanted to cook a thanksgiving dinner, you could do it with the kitchenware they supply. It had everything! Our family had such a great time and it was hard to leave but we’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much for the hospitality, y’all rock!!

The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was kind and courteous. The splash park was a lot of fun and you can’t go wrong with free passes. My only issues were that I had a late check in (past 10:00pm) and was supposed to be emailed directions for self check in, but I never received them and had to ask people walking near the hotel if they knew the process, and finally found someone to help. Secondly, my keys for the door didn’t work. I was standing outside for 20 minutes and thankfully a security guard walked by and let me into the room. When I told staff the next morning, while apologetic, just said “yeah that happens sometimes”. If they knew, it would have been nice to be informed and given some direction on how to seek assistance. They do not have anyone to answer any questions after 10:00pm.

We arrived Sunday afternoon and were able to utilize the wonderful pool before Ian headed our way and we had to evacuate on Monday. We were able to return Friday which gave us 2 full days at the resort. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We had a couple of maintenance issues that were taken care of right away. The only cleanliness issue was the kitchen floor. It was very dirty and slippery, like grease. We will visit again, just not hurricane season.

I had a relaxing and amazing vacation here. The staff was very nice and welcoming! The room was very clean and nice the balcony was definitely a nice addition with the view of the splash park and water. I enjoyed the feeling of home in the room with a kitchen and wash machine and dryer. The location is great and your not far from anything. I will definitely be returning. The only thing i wish they had a better way of getting splash park passes but for now you have to go to the lobby daily to get your passes
