Dr. “Joe” Riad is the best dentist I’ve ever been to in my long life – and I’ve had many dentists before. He is superbly skilled in all aspects of dentistry. He also clearly and in a friendly manner explains everything that he recommends be done and in what sequence and why – leaving the final decision to me of course. But I’m not a dentist, and upon quick reflection, Dr Joe was right.
I was referred to Dr. Joe by another branch on December 4, 2023 after I said that I wanted to get some dental work (I need a lot) done before the end of 2023, when my dental insurance benefits would not roll over into 2024. By the time I drove to Dr Joe’s office at about 1pm, everyone there was expecting me, knew the situation and had seen my x-rays and original treatment plan. I was greeted most warmly by Mr. Petros at the front desk who told me that Dr. Joe and his team were ready to work on me, and escorted me to the pre-op room.
There I met Dr Joe for the first time. I said what I had been thinking about on where to start, and he said that of course he would start as I wanted, but suggested a better sequence for my health would be to start by fixing my worn-down or missing molars – since 90% of one’s chewing is done with the molars, and well chewed food gives the best nutrition. And I could enjoy eating a big steak again. I immediately agreed fixing the molars first was more important than doing my front teeth for a good smile.
Within 15 minutes I was in the dental chair with Dr Joe and his main Tech that day, Brittany, who was always ready for whatever Dr. Joe needed – so well-choreographed, so in step with each other.
I was in the dental chair until 5:30 pm, by which time Dr. Joe had finished prepping three of my left lower molars for setting permanent crowns on them before the end of 2023, and fit and placed a temporary crown on them. I agreed to his suggestion that I go ahead and have a broken left upper molar extracted right then, with a bone/tissue graft placed to regrow my jawbone there, so that in 2024 (with fresh dental coverage) I would be ready to have a bridge of two crowns and a pontic placed on my upper left molars. Set for life knowing that I’d always be able to chew my food properly and able to enjoy eating anything again. I’ll get around to crowning my front, show/smile teeth, soon enough.
I also have to thank Alexis, a Tech and assistant office manager there, who went ahead (after I asked from the dental chair) if there was dental work financing available and she told me of a zero-interest rate plan (if paid off within 12-months). I said that sounded good, and Alexis went off and got that financing plan approved and activated, all while I was in the dental chair being prepped for crowns.
Dr. “Joe” Riad – He’s the Real Thing. A Grandmaster of the dentistry arts and a most skillful communicator with his patients, friendly, polite, and professional in getting you started on the best treatment plan for whatever your dental needs are at that point in time. And Dr. Joe can and will do it all, any of your needed dental work/art, himself and with one of his superb dental Techs, and do it right.
Dr. Riad is amazing. I have such fear for dentists from bad experiences years back and I must say. He is awesome and professional. Very patient and quality work🙏🏼❤️
Do u hate the dentist? I did. That was before, I (mistakenly) walked into the most dedicated, profesional, relaxing dental environment ever. I went to the offices of Dr. Youssef Riad, D.D.S. Him and his whole staff, from the superb dental assistant, to Tina, Petrus, Alexis and everyone else, thank you for giving me the best dental care ever!!!
I was weary as many can relate I feel like dentists are like mechanics you never truly know if you’re getting ripped off or not. Let me tell you from the staff to the doctor I felt informed, in charge, and comfortable. I had extensive work 5 crowns, one filling and a root canal. Please floss y’all. Anyone I’m so happy with the work and I’d recommend giving this office your business.
Awesome experience! First and foremost let me say that Petros was kind and accommodating in assisting me before I even visited the office! His kindness was the calling card for this business. For a professional dentist practice please visit Smile Design, you will not be disappointed. Dr. Riad, Alexandria and Elisa were very professional, precise and pleasant. The office is essentially located in serene surroundings and is easily accessible in East Lake Woodlands. For a pleasant dental experience try Smile Design! Tell them I sent you!
