John Chesnut Sr. Park

Reserved Shelter #3 for a birthday party. The online reservation site was easy to use and when I did run into a snag the support team was very friendly.

Day of, the shelter had been cleaned off and has a perfect setup of tables. This shelter is in a great location as it is very shaded and close to the children's park and the dog park and an open field. Literally a perfect hybrid of needs.

Highly recommend this park and shelter for your next event.

I love this park so much! Tons of trees and trails to walk. The dog park is the best I've found in Tampa Bay so far in years. I can't tell you how many times I've been here and explored or did some photography or took my dog for a day out. This park is also super clean and people are well mannered (in my experience). Highly highly recommend visiting here! Such a beautiful place

Great place to go for a walk, feels very safe as there are lots of people walking with others and their dogs. Speaking of dogs they have a fenced in dog park, play grounds for kids, boat ramp, observation tower, board walks, beautiful wildlife, we actually saw deer out in the open grazing throughout the park. Birds are abundant as you hear and see water fowl, cardinals and more. The lake area has lots of turtles and fish. Best of all it's free. Bathrooms, picnic tables and pavilions throughout the park. The forest is beautiful and makes you feel like you've left the city behind for just a little as you walk under the beautiful canopy of the trees. Come for a walk or pack a picnic for the day, loose yourself in nature.

Great place to have a party or any type of social event. Clean safe playground for children of all ages. Nice dog run area as well. Very pleased with my visit. Will return to check out the walking paths.
