Harborside Chapel

This is the most stunning Chapel I have ever seen. My day was absolutely beautiful and one I will never forget! Thank you Wendy, Krystal and everyone who helped make our day a success!

This venue is so beautiful, down to every single detail. The bridal suite and groom suite were so well thought out as well as the front of the chapel. They have one of the best staff you will ever find in the wedding industry! And their mission statement of we have marriages not weddings is absolutely true!

My daughter recently married at Harborside Chapel. The chapel is gorgeous and the bridal suite amazing. Unfortunately, the chapel really let us down in one important area.

My daughter booked the chapel in late summer 2019, for a March 2021 wedding. At that time of booking the chapel had a promotion where the bridal party got one extra hour at the chapel, plus a lovely wooden hanger with the bride's new married name twisted in wire. Just about any bride who has her wedding at the chapel has a beautiful photo op with their dress hanging in the doorway to the chapel. Because my daughter booked a package that included this hanger, we fully expected to have that hanger as promised for the wedding, so she could have pictures of her dress hanging in that doorway on that hanger with her married name.

Guess what? Never got the hanger. This may seem trivial to some of you reading. But when a bride is planning on a specific photo op, and the chapel has promised to provide the hanger for that photo op, and then they drop the ball? A huge disappointment. Not only that, not ONCE has anyone from the chapel approached the bride to apologize for their error, to tell her when she can expect to get that hanger, or made any effort to offer her the opportunity to come back at a later time with her dress to get that photo she was expecting. We arrived to find a plain white hanger in the bride's suite. No explanation, and I had to go find the coordinator to inquire about the missing hanger. Jessica told me that she looked for an hour, the hanger was last seen a full MONTH prior to the wedding, and well, sorry, it's not here. The hanger was supposed to be given to my daughter at the rehearsal the day prior to the wedding. My daughter forgot to ask about it that day. Jessica HAD to have known at rehearsal that there was no hanger, but chose not to be forthright about it.

Of course overall we are pleased with the wedding. But the way the chapel handled the hanger has left a bad taste in our mouths. The chapel did not fully provide everything that was promised at the time my daughter signed to have her wedding there. And the most disappointing part is that they did not have the courtesy to ever go to the bride herself to acknowledge their mistake and apologize. Again, some of you may find this trivial, and that's fine. But when one signs a contract with a wedding vendor to provide specific items, and then they do not, and they do not admit their mistake to the bride and apologize... Well, that's a failure on the part of the vendor. And something the chapel needs to correct.

Our wedding was amazing. Jennie, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. This chapel is amazing. It’s set up perfect for as much or as little decoration as you want. Being an out of town bride was made easier with the communication, decoration, and attention to detail provided by Harborside. They took care of getting our marriage license signed and sent off. They decorated (& cleaned up) with their beautiful arch, petals, signage, and candles. They took care of every detail I thought of, and forgot:) they care about their weddings and marriages.
