  I have no idea when other people attended the school but it's much better now, I recently attended. The school is actually the best one my friend and I have attended in the district. I'm not going to lie and say all the kids there are perfect angels but they're much better than most people here are describing them. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure ever since there was a new principal, things were much better at Tarpon. I understand if you or your kid had a bad experience at Tarpon but if it was years ago, I don't think you should really base the current quality of the school on that.

  I had three daughters to attend Tarpon Springs Middle School. Each of my daughters have moved on to high school in the district and are doing some awesome things...academically and in the way of extracurricular activities. As with all schools, there will be some concerns but it behooves the parent to make those concerns know to school personnel so that they can have the opportunity to take appropriate actions to address the concerns. As an involved parent, I made my concerns known to Dr. Giles, as needed, and her response and the actions taken where done in a professional, caring, and positive manner. I, too agree, that under her leadership, the school's appearance, improvements, the act of basing her decisions on data, giving her students a voice, and visionary thinking continues to drive TSMS in a positive direction where all students can learn.

  My daughters attend Tarpon Springs Middle School, in 6th and 8th grade. I have been impressed with all of their teachers--they are all excellent, inspiring, knowledgeable, and caring. The Orchestra and Band Programs are outstanding. The Cambridge Program is great. There are many extracurricular opportunities like Quiz Bol, Sound Wave, and Junior Honor Society. They are both thriving in this wonderful school, as are their peers. The new principal is bringing great vision, programs, and resources. The improvements in the school's appearance are obvious and abundant under Principal Giles' leadership. I highly recommend this school and continue to be impressed.

  This has been a fantastic school for my boys, aside from the normal BS smart kids get from not so smart ones the school is great. The teachers I have met and with 2 I have met quite a few, they have all been smart and engaging. The math department is fabulous and the civics and sciences and of course, the Leadership Conservatory of the Arts, Mr Touchton is one of the finest directors I have encountered.....New blood in TSMS has been a huge change from what I understand and I am glad we are here to reap the rewards of this awesome school 😊
