I had my second cataract surgery at St. Luke’s, done by Dr. Gills. Everything went smoothly. I had no pain after surgery or during the next week. (I am only one week post surgery.) Staff took time to explain each step of the process to me and answered all questions I had.
I would highly recommend St. Luke’s and Dr. Gills if you need cataract surgery, I can now see clearly and am so grateful for that. Everyone at St. Luke’s is highly professional. I felt very comfortable have my cataract surgery there.

Dr. Gills and his staff provided exceptional prep, surgery and follow up. My outcome was better than I expected. Results from cataract surgery far exceeded my expectations! The twilight sleep worked well; resulting in a completely pain free experience. The hospital staff, from check-in to surgical professionals (and everything in between) were exceptional in their knowledge and compassion. St. Luke's is incredibly well organized. Adherence to schedule was effective and respectful to patients. My results at follow up exam resulted in 20/20 left eye and 20/30 right eye. Clarity and colors are so beautiful now. Thank you Dr. Gills and Dr. Causey for everything!

I am so very pleased with my bilateral cataract surgeries. Everyone has been warm and knowledgeable. I have worn glasses since I was 8. At 76, what a miracle to see even without my glasses! For my need, this has been incredibly freeing!
The only drawback is I can now clearly see I look older than I knew! 🤣
Still, I prefer the good vision!

My recent cataract surgery at St. Luke’s Cataract and Laser Institute was a fantastic experience. The entire staff from the greeters, to the technicians and nurses, all the way up the chain to Dr. Gills were all outstanding. I was so happy I had Dr. Gills perform the surgery. I can recall seeing advertisements for St. Luke’s for decades with Dr. Gills and his father. They were/are leaders in their profession. I recommend Dr. Gills for anyone contemplating cataract surgery. It was a totally painless experience.
