“If I could I’d give Dr. McKenna more than 5 stars! My husband and I have been seeing Dr. McKenna for over 2 years. She’s also our son’s psychiatrist. We couldn’t be happier to have her as our family psychiatrist. Dr. McKenna is hands down the most amazing doctor I’ve ever met. No wonder why she has been awarded “best in psychiatry” in St Pete for several consecutive years. She truly is the very best in her specialty. If you’re looking for the best psychiatrist in town just make an appointment and I can guarantee that you’ll totally agree with me. The doctor has all the good qualities anyone is looking for in a psychiatrist. She’s so compassionate and caring! I’ve never met any other doctor that cares about me the same way as Dr. McKenna cares. She treats me like a person and not just a patient. She’s always willing to listen to me and she’s incredibly prompt and responsive every time I need to reach out to her. I know that I can always count on her if any issues arise. She knows how important it is to be there for her patients when they need her. Dr. McKenna is also very knowledgeable in her field and is always up to date with the latest treatments. She’s not the kind of doctor who will try to overmedicate you. She will try to get you well with the least amount of medication possible and she’s not afraid to make changes if needed. I really love her approach. My husband was totally overmedicated when we met the doctor, as a result of seeing other doctors who didn’t want to change anything out of fear of relapse and just kept increasing doses or adding more meds every time he relapsed. She was able to make all the necessary changes so he could be well without being overmedicated. She was the first doctor who was willing to do something about it and I couldn’t be more grateful to have found Dr. McKenna. We have decided she will be our psychiatrist for life. The doctor is also very thorough and very good at explaining. She always makes sure you are understanding everything and that you’re a part of all the decisions and treatment plan. She’s also soooo pleasant to talk to. I look forward to all of my appointments cause I really enjoy talking to her. I forgot to mention that she is also a therapist. Isn’t that awesome? So you can talk about anything with her and she’s never going to judge you or make you feel uncomfortable. On the contrary, she always makes me feel very comfortable. I’m someone with trust issues and Dr. McKenna is one of the few people in my life that I feel I can truly trust. What else can I say about her? She’s just amazing. She is so authentic, and you can tell she really loves what she does and genuinely cares about her patients. Just make an appointment and you won’t want to see any other psychiatrist after you meet her. Dr. McKenna, you are the best! “Years ago Dr. Huntley saved my brain and my life. He didn't leave my bedside except for food, etc. I came out of my coma quite combative, but, he took it calmly. Excellent care. Some of you are complaining about his demeanor. Physicians are not to be warm and cuddly. Neurologists see extremely complicated cases, so, they can be serious because they are taking your case seriously. My first conversation with him I told him to tell his wife to lay off the heavy starch on his shirt and didn't stop there. He was still calm, understanding my situation. I was rude a few more times. I wasn't mad at him. I just impulsively spoke. Don't listen to the naysayers. He is excellent”

“I've used Dr. Chipman for many, many years now. He is my primary doctor. The staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. The nurse practitioner, Julie, is my absolute favorite. What an amazing, caring soul. She always makes time to hear everything i have to say or any concerns i have. Most places will rush you in and out but Julie will take the time with you if you need it.
