(February 3, 2020, 7:22 pm)We really enjoyed staying here this weekend. I would have liked to have a picnic table and a fire ring at our campsite. Otherwise, we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

If you like to be in the middle of nowhere with long periods of peace and quiet with beautiful live oaks covered in Spanish moss, then this place is for you! Aside from the morning and evening rush of airboats and an occasional daily passing this place is so quiet and peaceful. At just $20/night (includes water and 30A or 50A electric) this first come first choice county campground is a steal! If you venture here be sure and walk down to the water craft landing in the late afternoon as all the airboats return. It noisy but a real treat to watch these strange boats glide up on the grass to rest for the night.

After a sweltering day’s ride on busy highway 60, we came to a tranquil paradise full of green grass and shady trees, Rick the groundskeeper is such a great guy and made us feel right at home. Love the space, the calm and quiet, and those beautiful trees. Other camps in Florida could learn a lesson from this place.

(March 27, 2019, 1:10 pm)Great RV or Tent getaway off 60. Super freshwater fishing spot. The camp sites are clean, there is a beautiful oak canopy and also open areas. The amenities are clean, and safe. The area is a great place to relax. You can boat, kayak, canoe, and you will certainly see Florida Wildlife. Electric and water hook up, it does have a dump station.

RV camping at Coleman Landing at Shady Oaks Recreation Area is a beautiful county park, plus it is cheap! It can be hard to find cheap rv parks in Florida, but this one is a true gem, in our opinion. Thomas loves bass fishing on Lake Kissimmee & this RV Park / Fish Camp is right on Lake Kissimmee.
