I adopted Kitty even though we were worried about her not making friends with any staff at SPCA. After sitting with her for about half an hour and giving her some treats(still didn’t come all the way to me) and talking to her as we were working with her I asked her if she wanted to go home with us and she blinked her eyes at me so then is when I knew she was ready to go with us. After one day in my office room where she could watch us and then another day exploring the whole house she then started loving on us and has been every since. Mary has been in touch with us and I sent her pictures of our progress (she is now a lap cat) and she went the extra mile of caring about Kitty and our status with her. The staff were all wonderful. This is my second kitty from SPCA. I had Ms Priss for seventeen years and now we have Kitty to love on for the rest of her years. Thank you SPCA

I had a great experience adopting my first cat in September 2020. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was easy to call and make an appointment and the adoption process was smooth and time efficient. Thank you SPCA Florida for my forever family member.

Made an appointment for small dogs, very clean with friendly helpers, complete print out on history and health report. Found two I was interested and was able to take them outside. We found our new fur baby, she is so sweet and gentle. The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with. They are very reasonable and make sure the pet has been checked out, shots, teeth cleaning, microchip, ears & nails. If a problems you are informed upfront. The staff also makes sure all paperwork is complete and accurate. They even called back a few days later to see how things were going and if the microchip had been changed to our name and our vet had been contacted.
We can't say enough good things about our experience. We have always raised our pets from babies. But there are so many pets who need forever homes we decided to go with SPCA FL and we are si glad we did! We have enclosed a picture of Gidget.

The staff at the SPCA was amazing. They told us a heartbreaking story of our little boy, who we have adopted. Since we already had a service dog at home, we needed to schedule time to come back so she and he could meet. When we went today the staff were overjoyed with the fact that both our dog and Tobias were amazing together. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a fur animal member to please look at SPCA. The staff does an amazing job, even with being short staffed. They truly love what they do and they love the animals and it’s clear because the animals seem happy. Thanks for our new family member Tobias. The Huntley Family

I was able to get my awesome puppy from here while still in college two years ago! It felt like a struggle to get a dog from other shelters given that I was only 20 and living in an apartment (meaning I didn't meet a lot of shelters requirements to adopt) -- I'm very thankful to the SPCA Florida for giving me the ability to bring home my best friend! Louie (previously named Prince at the shelter), my boyfriend and I are doing amazing as a little family and we couldn't have asked for a better boy. From the day I got him he's always been extremely smart, laid back, and healthy. First picture is him as a puppy when I first got him from the shelter! Definitely check out the SPCA Florida if you're looking to give a dog or a cat a loving home! 💖
