(December 31, 2018, 8:00 am)I met Dr. Zappia at Watson Clinic during one of his excellent seminars called, "Is That Bulge a Hernia?". From that short presentation, I learned that Dr. Zappia is a brilliant, well-qualified, and very personable surgeon. I was impressed with his quiet confidence and with his clear explanations of the highly advanced technology of the da Vinci robotic surgery system he uses in hernia repair and other general surgeries. After an initial office visit with Dr. Zappia, I felt even better about trusting him with my surgical needs. Dr. Zappia's nurse Sandra is also thorough and easy to work with; together, they make a great team for the patient. Dr. Zappia repaired the umbilical hernia I've had since birth that recently expanded after a fall. The surgery was quickly scheduled and performed at Bartow Regional Medical Center. (I also highly recommend that facility!) The surgery was successfully completed and I was home the same day with three tiny incisions, a bandage over the navel, and a tight abdominal binder to help the body adjust to the hernia repair. I've been sore, but have recovered so much more quickly than some others I've talked with who've had the same procedure using more conventional surgery approaches. I believe that the difference I've experienced comes from having Dr. Zappia as my surgeon. He is highly qualified, uses the latest technology, AND he has a great bedside manner. I recommend Dr. Zappia with all the stars they allow here on the review!

(December 30, 2018, 8:59 am)Dr. Zappia saved my life. If it wasn't for the grace of God putting Dr.Zappia in my life I would probably not be here. He has been the most amazing surgeon and doctor I have ever had. Along with his nurse Sandra who is super sweet. Dr. Zappia is professional and to the point. There is just a wonderful calmness he brings. He makes tou feel comfortable and confident in what he's done. I would recommend him to anyone. Just simply the best. I am eternally greatful and blessed to have him in my life. Thanks Dr. Zappia!
