“The food is good. I particularly love the carne frita and the chuletas. They are tasty and juicy. I don't like that the chicharrones de pollo are not actually that. They are just bits of chicken empanado. I do find they are a bit expensive. We paid $50 for 2 meals because the meats only come with mofongo, tostones or fries and we wanted rice and beans so we had to pay for the meat meal + the rice + the beans. I love the service. They are really nice and help you understanding food allergy potentials. Wait times are pretty long on Fridays and Saturdays after 5pm as they get a huge chunk of clients after that time.”

“Outstandingly positive experience tonight! Loved the service and the food was not only delicious but incredibly satisfying. Terrific variety to choose from. Couldn't get enough of the olive tapenade! Scrumptious! And they have a lovely, family-friendly pub atmosphere. Will be back to check out more of the menu.”

“Best Chinese take out I have had anywhere. I've been ordering from this family owned business for decades. I haven't been inside lately but I remember the inside being somewhat run down. Don't come here for a date, or judge by it's cover. Rather, come here for take out! You won't be disappointed. The chicken teriyaki appetizers on a stick are simply the best around. Unlike other Chinese take-outs, these chicken teriyaki appetizers on a stick are NOT like dry leather, but instead are juicy, delicious and plentiful. They are a must have. Their General Taos is great if you like extra sauce. The extra sauce they put on it is great for your rice. I prefer their style of rice, which is somewhat plainer than others, but it's more authentic and delicious. Their chicken lo mein is superior to practically every other Chinese restaurant or take out I've ever been to. The flavor and sauce is on point.”

“The service is always fast and the workers there are always very nice and friendly. The lines are long but goes fast because there's 2 lines. Curbside order is very good also. They always bring out my order in a timely manner. The parking is a bit small so get there early to have a good parking spot.”

“You know a place must be pretty decent if there’s always a crazy long line of people waiting to order, pay and devour. Sabu is one of the handful of stalls in the industrial and fun Joinery of Lakeland. They do the ramen, and visitors seem to never get enough of the ramen. I’m so serious, this place is always crazy busy. Because of this I usually don’t even try to order here, because I’d rather not wait forever when most of the other stalls aren’t half as busy. So when it actually had no line one day that I came to yee old Joinery, I jumped on the opportunity. I got one of the spicy ramen dishes that I am now forgetting the name of. I really enjoyed it, and I mean it’s hard not to enjoy any ramen bowl. I wouldn’t say it was out of this world, but I’d have it again happily. We got the bao buns too, of course. Can’t ever turn those sweet babies down. Let me now get to what I would drive to the Joinery solely to splurge on: the drinks!! They have boba, yes, whoop whoop! I got the cocoa puffs cereal milk boba and it was ridiculous. Ridiculously easy to sip down so quick I barely savored it. It basically tasted like chocolate milk with soft, chewy boba that was cooked pretty well. Also, my friend got the iced matcha and that was by far the best matcha drink I’ve ever tried. I think they mixed it with some sort of sweet cream, because it wasn’t just the plain earthy taste of matcha but it was much sweeter, and I just can’t even believe how good it was. So yes, I’d come back to not even bother the ramen or bao buns, but to get a foo-foo drink from Sabu. But the ramen certainly doesn’t hurt either.”

“I’ve had an Uncle Bucky’s twice at 2 different events. When I say that they have THE BEST turkey legs and ribs, I’m not lying. Absolutely fall off the bone, sweet sauce, good flavor. After eating there at the first event I went to that they were at, I had dreams about that turkey leg and sauce. When I found out they’d be outside the Strawberry Festival, I knew that’s where I had to eat. The BBQ here is truly the best I’ve had. Better than Carolina BBQ, better than Alabama BBQ. No one compares. 10 out of 10, I recommend them to everyone I can.”

“Just finished a fantastic meal at Britt's Cafe - North enjoying a fresh stone-baked Evano's Pizza. Elijah did a great job in making our pizza just how we like it....hot, yummy and tasty. The crust was perfectly cooked and the toppings of italian sausage, onions and jalapeños tasted so good. While waiting for our pizza my husband had a house salad and I had the Italian Wedding Soup. We ordered the 18" pizza so we can take some leftovers home for late night snacking. We can't wait until we return to have another great Evano's Pizza soon.”

“Gators has always been a good place to go in Highland city. Even though I haven’t had it in almost 5 years because I was gone in the military. It is as still good as I remember. Great good and atmosphere!”

“Great first experience at this location. Bread with the butter is always good. I had the prime rib and it was cooked just how I ordered. Full of flavor om every bite. Chili was pretty standard and so were the mash potatoes. Bacon bits were pretty hard though.”

“Nice alternative to that other chicken chain restaurant. Crispy chicken sandwich was a little salty, but otherwise very good. Waffle fries, salad, tenders were all adequately sized and tasted great. Restaurant was clean and comfortable.”

“Took my daughter out for a Valentine's date and it was just what we needed. This was such a fun place tucked away in the strip mall. When I say "fun", I'm talking "bubble gum" ice cream from back in the day and "C is for Cookie" cookie dough ice cream as blue as the cookie monster 🤣 I did find some ice chips in my ice cream, but that just reminded me of the ice cream I used to get at camp grounds growing up so it actually didn't bother me at all. With that being said, the ice cream was actually NOT icy believe it or not. Also, I think it's important to add how fairly priced this place is! Extremely affordable, even when adding toppings!”

“Food was tasty. Was expecting the plate to be just a little more presentable. Maybe a boiled or fried dumpling and plantain. That's only to balance out the salt. Customer Service Amazing will be back portions are plentiful I can eat off a small 3 times. 👑💜🥰 APTTMH”

“My husband and I went there for dinner. For me, this was the first time dining with them, for my husband, the second, with first being a very good lunch experience. He ordered tamales (we didn't know exactly where those were on the menu, but he knew they've got them), I ordered Fajita Sampler. His tamales were huge and quite delicious, but not necessarily my favorite type. My Fajita was great but slightly underseasoned (lacking salt). Salsa and chips were great. The service was very nice and friendly. Mariachi band would've been a great addition to the beautiful atmosphere of the place if their trumpet would've been muffled a little bit. That trumpet was so loud you couldn't hear your own thoughts! Otherwise, the entire place is greatly designed, food is pretty good and service is pleasant. We will definitely be back for more!”

“I’ve visited during their grand opening, Denise and her staff are wonderful. The line was out the door and it was worth the wait. I ordered the radio city breakfast sandwich on a onion bagel. It’s not often I find a corn beef breakfast sandwich so I was delighted they had it on their menu. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast Mary’s bagel Café.”

“I'm impressed! I visited for the 1st time last week and I was so pleasantly surprised with the freshness of their salad bar. The atmosphere is industrial and it's a great place to talk. The above review was based on our first visit. Subsequent visits have exhibited mediocre customer service, dirty looks and annoyance has no place at a restaurant if you want to keep customers.”

“Always great, portions are large, people are friendly. I've tried just about everything on the lunch menu here and it's all fantastic, you really can't go wrong here. Personally most of the meals I get from here last two meals, so lunch and dinner are covered. All the more value and reason to keep coming back 👍”

“Nice, laid back place to get dinner. Food is most of the time good, prices are reasonable and service is OK. It's one of those places you stand a chance to find a table even on the busiest nights. Last night was one of those. Food took a while to come out but it was good, at least when it came to my grilled cheese and my son's fish and chips. My husband's chicken & waffle wasn't that great unfortunately but he enjoyed his Margherita.”

“Tried this place yesterday. It was amazing! The portions are very large. Food was very fresh and clean. I asked for salsa (through a language barrier) and was Greatly Surprised to see there was a whole salsa bar on refrigeration. This food just kept getting better. Can't wait to go back!”

“I think they got off to a rocky start about 8 months ago but we have been there several times since they opened and have never been disappointed. Great service, great food, prices are good. They will customize your order (I don't do onions or sweet peppers) without any problem. Definitely recommend them.”

“I was able to get 8 tacos for $12, which is definitely on the expensive side for tacos. So, how was Taqueria Hidalgo? First, the red sauce was the best of any taqueria I've been to. The tacos were good but a little sparse on the meat and toppings. Good food, but not a good value. This is taco stand splurging. If I was on the north side of Lakeland, I'd consider this place, although El Perico Taqueria (615 W Daughtery Rd) is a better deal. This place has better seating, though, and that red sauce. If you're willing to drive a little further south, or happen to be further south in Lakeland, there are lots of other options (eg, La Michocana in west Lakeland, Taqueria el Burrito in Combee, Tacos el Torito in east Lakeland).”

“The food is absolutely fantastic. Got the sesame chicken combo with chicken fried rice and have zero complaints. Service was great too! The ONLY reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 is because (apparently) chow mein is cabbage and (choice of meat) and not noodles. I've personally never heard of this, and the 4 stars is because I recommend they specify this before purchasing.”
