“In October of 2021, Mr. Ryan Biagioli began teaching a Taekwondo class at the Palm House here in Grand Palm. 8 children were in his first class and in those early days we never could have imagined how Taekwondo would be such a crucial part in our children’s lives. It has been two years since Mr. Biagioli began teaching that first class and those same students are still with him, in addition to 27 more students! The journey over the past 2 years has been an incredible one to watch. We appreciate Mr. Biagioli’s dedication to our children’s learning and celebrating all of their successes. He has tied in the importance of education into each one of his classes. He has taught each student that education comes first. If a student brings in a test from school or a note from the teacher regarding an act of kindness that they had shown throughout the school day, Mr. Biagioli makes sure to acknowledge that student in front of the class and gives them a star to have sewn onto his/her uniform. The parents are so grateful that he has taught their children that they need to master the art of listening before they can master the art of learning. We are proud to say that our children have trained under Mr. Biagioli’s wing. He has shown his students that they don’t need to be anything other than themselves. Each student has learned the true meaning of dedication and perseverance. Mr. Biagioli has been a great role model. He has taught all of his students to believe in themselves above anything else because martial arts is both a physical and spiritual journey. Grand Palm has allowed Mr. Biagioli to create a true “Taekwondo Family.”He has not only helped our children but he has connected so many families together by allowing the parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends to celebrate the children’s accomplishments while watching them throughout their Taekwondo classes each week. Families are able to to talk and connect with other families that they would have never met if it weren’t for Mr. Biagioli’s classes. He has created a family through hisTaekwondo classes. Every week, new students are joining the Taekwondo family and parents are given the opportunity to meet more members of the Grand Palm Community. It is so convenient to have these classes held here at our Palm House. The children are able partake in these classes for a couple of hours after school twice a week. Mr. Biagioli is a thoughtful instructor, an excellent role model and a kind force in the world. Everything he does is well organized and fascinating and fun for the parents to see. The parents have had the opportunity to see incredible growth in their child in such a small amount of time. Whether it’s watching the growth of a child’s self esteem, an improvement in the way they are able to stay focused or the transition they have made moving from one belt to the next level belt. Mr. Biagioli really strives to bring the best out in each child enrolled in his classes through active participation and teaching the kids to implement what they have learned in class, into their daily lives. He really extends the teachings and philosophy of Taekwondo and self discipline to all their outside activities as well.
